Our Queen

Our fur baby will be 19 on the 28 th. She has become very high maintenance in her older years. Normally she prefers our son, but for about a month now she has been sleeping with my husband and I. She has her own bed at the foot of ours and sleeps in it until the sun comes up. Then she carries on with whispers to me and will do a tap dance or two and run and jump all over me. She doesn’t bother my husband. She wants me out of the bed and isn’t satisfied until I get up. She wants my side of the bed and her little heater on even on a hot day. I also have the honor of being woke up in the middle of the night to give her fresh food and watch her eat. She even demands that someone watch her potty. I think in her older years age she has gotten a bit neurotic, but we love our Queen Baby.

Nico requests my presence quite often as well. He pretends he's hungry, but half the time I think he just wants me around. Queen baby has it good. Is she eating any special food to keep her weight up?

She only eats wet food and eats like a pig pooh. She is a tiny cat and never weighed over 6-7 pounds. She has been 5 pounds for several years.

@Tampa_girl7 Nico eats like a pig but prefers dry to wet. He is in prescription food for crystals..but honestly it doesn't seem to work that well for him. He should probably be in another brand

@snowy22315 Finding the right food and what they like is a pain in the butt. We have to give her a lot of variety. She is a good eater, but super picky.

Her parents belonged to my mama and daddy and my son picked her out when she was a few months old. We have never had a fur baby live this long.

It's funny how older pets get up in the middle of the night and want to eat. My dog is 15 and has decided that a middle of the night snack is necessary.
Your Queen baby looks so comfy all cuddled on your bed.

What a lovely story - and what a patient and kind servant Queen has. I hope she lives a few more years yet. After so long, you will really miss her when she goes.

I'm glad it's you and not me... My fishies stay in their tank and leave me alone.
