Dermatology Appointment

As you all know, I have been waiting and waiting for this dermatology appointment to finally get here and hope that we can see an end to all of this itching!
I can't say that the itching is gone, but it is doing better. I had two biopsies taken; one from my leg and one from my chest. Both were pretty significant and required stitches.
My medication was changed again and nothing else will be done until the biopsy results come back, which should be next week. I will also get my stitches out next week.
I glad to see some progress on this situation. And I have also been sleeping a bit better. Although tonight is not a good night. It's 1:43 am and I have been up and down all night.

I am sorry they had to do two biopsies that required stitches, but I am also glad that you did go and hopefully they can get to the bottom of this problem. It's gone on way too long for you now.

Intense itching is miserable. I have some allergies that can make me get hives, when that happens I just want to claw my skin!! I usually get in the shower and use cool water and that helps me. But I don’t get a rash like you have, just hives.

@DaddyEvil Nope, the first meds were not helping at all. The next one was helping some, but not near enough.

I surely do hope you get some answers soon. Um...not knocking your doctor or anything, but shouldn't those results from the biopsy be back by now? I know you are struggling with this, wish you had some answers now!

I talked to the doctor right after lunch. Biopsy results did come back. She is calling in another dermatologist to consult with when I go back. Two heads are better than one. And she is setting up appointment with the referral primary doctor. Woot.

Yeowch. I’m sorry you had to have a biopsy for the itching. Although I am glad they’re being aggressive to make sure there’s nothing wrong instead of “well, it could be this or that…try this, and if it doesn’t work in two weeks come back and see us” (and yes, I’ve had doctors do that to me). Hope everything comes out well.
