This was a location of a wedding my sister and I went to. I thought the setting was incredibly lovely. Everyone was glad the weather held up, but if it had rained they were going to have it in the nearby building where the reception was to be held. It had been decorated beautifully. The very unusual aspect was the legos at the reception. The couple and his kids (from his previous marriage; a widower) loved to do lego scenes for family time when she’d come over, so the table settings were little Lego people made to resemble the guests. A lot of work for sure! In addition, there were little Lego vignettes (?) of places they had all gone together over the city. The couple themselves were different than most, but that just made them more endearing. My parents, grandparents, sister and BIL, and so on were all married in churches, but this location was just gorgeous.

Sounds and looks like an ideal place for a wedding. However, with places like this it is best to inform the women guests not to wear high heels,

There is a concrete path to get down to where the wedding is, but thankfully they did let people know it was an outdoor wedding. Truthfully, I don’t know if I would have thought of the high heel situation. You think of everything, girl!

@RasmaSandra I did once, and it was not fun. I had not anticipated rain, and boy was I surprised!

I know. I would never have done that, but I wanted to be open minded.

I can totally see you going and having fun. You’ve always had an open mind. A lot of people I told about it were put off by the Legos.

@AmbiePam I'm not much of a Lego builder, but I'd give it a whirl. My son loved Legos when he was a kid.

Beautiful! And perfect that the weather was on their side. The Legos sound like a personal touch for the wedding . . . something they enjoyed doing together - symbolic of "building" a family. A memorable, unique wedding element for sure .

I wouldn't want to leave once I got there. That is a soft setting for a wedding or any other lovely ceremony.

That is a very beautiful setting for a wedding. Of course, having to depend on the weather would make me a little skeptical about actually picking it as a wedding venue.
