I think I am going to have a turkey sandwich for lunch, and I was just sitting here thinking I wish I had some Swiss cheese to put on it. It is not my favorite cheese, but it goes well with certain things like turkey or ham sandwiches. What are your feelings on Swiss? Do you have a favorite cheese?

What kind of Swiss Cheese are you wishing you had ?
I quite like Swiss Cheese. Emmental is the one I have most experienced of.
ever, because I am a patriot and our Cheeses are superb, I like Orkney Cheese , Mature Cheddar Orkney Cheese and Lockerbie and Galloway cheese, again a cheddar.
I like soft cheese, like Philadelphia
And those wee Dairy Lee Triangles
And also Primula, the stuff with Chives in it in a long tube

Just a standard Swiss will do. I bet your cheeses are very good. You pay a pretty penny for UK or other cheeses of that ilk here.

I love Gruyere cheese but can´t get it here often. Our supermarket had more often cheese from Holland (Maasdamer) and I like it a lot too.

Yes, I Swiss cheese is my favorite for on wraps or to eat as a slice for a snack.
I also love gouda for wraps, it melts nice and is so smooth.
Now that you mention it, it is about lunch time, I should go and see what appeals to me in the refrigerator.
Probably Swiss cheese, since you mentioned it, and some vanilla yogurt.

@snowy22315 There is an Aldi but I cannot get to it and their delivery goes through Instacart which makes it expensive for me and that is why every month I get my groceries delivered from Walmart,

@snowy22315 You were in a commune? Was it goat cheese? If the cow or goat eats something like onions you can get very strong cheese.

Swiss cheese isn't my favorite but I will eat it especially on turkey or beef sandwiches. I much prefer Colby or a mild Cheddar and even a good American cheese is good on sandwiches. We usually have American cheese slices in the fridge. I buy it by the loaf and I can't stand the American rubber cheese. I want real cheese not the wrapped "processed" cheese. (I break a loaf of cheese down into six Ziploc bags so it stays fresh longer. I keep the Ziploc bags in the crisper drawers at the bottom of the fridge.)
