Do you believe American "President" Donald Trump Actually Sent National Guard Troops into Los Angeles without a request from the Governor or the Mayor?

I got this email from California's Governor this morning. But I find it a bit hard to believe. Is this just more Leftie rhetoric? Wouldn't such an act just inflame tensions, as demonstrations against illegal deportations take to the streets across the US? As I recall, then "Presiedent" Trump did not immediately deploy the National Guard when insurrectionists stormed the Capitol on January 6th (whatever year it was). The Lefty media is even claiming that Donald Trump "pardoned" those who were arrested for breaching the Capitol on January 6th. What is a peron to believe? Here is what I received this morning. Could it be true? ---- Last night, President Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops in Los Angeles, using the excuse of protests against his immigration raids. Let me be totally clear about what is happening here. We have been working closely with law enforcement. There is no unmet need. The President is attempting to inflame passions and provoke a response. He would like nothing more than for this provocative show of force -- and Pete Hegseth's absurd threat to deploy United States Marines on American soil – to escalate tensions and incite violence. These are not people who have some deep conviction about protecting law enforcement. This is a President who failed to call up the National Guard when it was actually needed -- on January 6th -- and then pardoned the participants as one of his first acts as president. They want a spectacle. They want the violence. They think this is good for them politically. That is why White House aides were posting pictures of Trump getting popcorn last night. This is not the way a civilized country behaves. It is completely deranged behavior. To the people of Los Angeles and across the country who are protesting these immigration raids: Don't give them the spectacle they want. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully and in large numbers. I know many of you have been watching the news about this, so I thought it important to reach out. Thank you for reading, Gavin Newsom

Of course I believe it. He doesn't like states with Democratic governors. I'm surprised that we've gotten assistance for our disasters; however, both senators and 5/6 of the congressmen are Republicans despite the fact that we have a Democrat for a governor.

Gavin Newsom is a very patient man, thank goodness. Trump cannot believe that the riots and such are over his idiocy and nothing more. He wants it to look otherwise. He is an idiot of the first order. He needs to be taken out, and his little friend, J. D. Vance as well. And RFK and several others. They have no business running this country. I could go on and on.

@TheHorse .......Very true. He wants to make out like the protests are by bad people and not just Americans speaking out about a dictator and ICE.

Happily there are no National Guardsmen shooting at civilians in my cozy suburban enclave. I feel safe going out and about.

This is big news over here too as is the news that those that stormed the Capitol are now claiming compensation for damages, wrongful arrest, etc. I don't know if that is true either.

I think Trump really did send the National Guard down to LA. The other "news" sounds like something Saturday Night Live would think up.

The January 6th thing was in 2021. I remember Trump saying he was going to pardon those that were arrested on January 6th but that it wouldn’t be everyone. Trump deployed the National Guard to prevent from happening in Los Angeles what happened in Minneapolis during the 2020 riots.

First of all, for the record, Donald Trump, three days prior to January 6th, offered National Guard troops to Nancy Pelosi, who refused them. Second of all, these "protests" are being mischaracterized anymore. A protest is a peaceful event in which people hold up signs and air their grievances. What these "protests" have turned into are the burning down of cities and the looting of businesses. For the record as well, in case anyone was curious, THAT IS NOT A PROTEST. THAT IS A RIOT. The reason Donald Trump sent troops to LA is because he believes things have gotten out of control, are not protests, and the citizens who live there deserve to have their city protected by their government.

@TheHorse On that we would agree. This has to end. Enough is enough. Restore law and order and frankly...common sense.
