Do you have a hypothesis as to why that Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed in India?

Like many of us I have watched several reports about the Air India crash the other day. The plane went down slowly and gracefully, killing all but one person on board and several people on the ground.
The pilot made a mayday call and said he had no thrust. Two engines flaming out just after takeoff is rare.
What do you think might have happened?
What I have noticed is that the landing gear were not retracted immediately after takeoff, as is usually the case. This would increase drag. But it would not cause a plane to lose all lift. .
I also could not tell whether the flaps were extended. As we all know, you need flaps for take off.
But on a high-tech airplane like the 787, there would be many warning lights and sounds if the flaps were not in proper configuration for takeoff.
What do you think caused this crash?

@BACONSTRIPSXXX This plane was never in the air for 10 minutes. It crashed less than 2 min after take off.

The DOGE cutbacks at the FAA. I mean, that’s caused every other plane crash, right? (Sarcasm)
I saw a pilot explaining his theory: catastrophic dual engine failure.

Throw that out of your head. Such cases don't happen always. Just ping us that you landed safely. Happy journey

My son was saying yesterday he saw something about the investigation, which is still ongoing. It was said that the DGCA has ruled out birds, pilot error, overloading, and engine failure. Hmm...it certainly makes a person wonder.

@MarieCoyle I gathered some more data today. I will post about it later. I am off to practice.

It really does make a person wonder just what the problems really were. And so many lives lost.

There was surely some malfunction which was overlooked

Well I have no idea, but I saw that someone thought they could see something amiss on a video. I did not read it, shame on me.

National Geographic comes up with aircraft investigation series. They are worth watching. I'm sure they will come up with a documentary on this as well.

@TheHorse I have also watched a few other ones. But the documentaries filmed by National Geographic where more appealing to me. That's just personal view.

I think there might be some technical sabotage. There's surely some evil mind behind this mishap. After that about 5 aircrafts from and to India suffered some technical problems.

I would say, most likely a combination of factors. Could be pilot error. Could be mechanical failure. Could be any number of things. I suppose all we can do is wait and see what the investigation turns out to be as to the cause. Anything right now would be pure speculation and serves no real purpose.

@TheHorse None of us are pilots, aircraft mechanics, aviation experts, meteorologists or any other thing that could be related to what happened. Thus, the "scientists" are the ones "on the case," and only they will be able to determine what the cause was.
WE, on the other hand, because we are NOT scientists or experts, are purely speculating. Scientific research requires data, and data is what we are missing. There is no possible way we could piece this together and have an aha moment.
We can GUESS and even have a modicum of insight into various factors...BUT, at the end of the day, we're still only speculating.

Someone made a boo boo and Boeing needs to rehaul and check all of its planes, This was on the news today
Air India Boeing 787 leaves Hong Kong but turns around due to "technical issue" just days after deadly crash

I have no idea. Vince noticed that the wheels hadn't retracted. They'd be very experienced pilots flying a plane of this size.

I think there was a malfunction. I saw the video. That was awful.
