What is the last thing you sold?

I was trying to think of which sites would be best to sell certain things, and I think I decided on eBay. I don’t have a lot to sell, but I think a few things might make money. The last thing I sold (not online) were these calf massagers that you wore like boots (got for free). You turned on a switch and they did massage, compression, and heat. What’s cool is that after I sold those, I got a similar product only the fit was tighter, and they were less cumbersome to handle. They have been a dream for my restless leg syndrome. Someone wants to buy them from me, but they sure do help me. Though it would be hard to turn down.

Facebook marketplace is good and I share that add with a few local pages. It works to get the items out there.

Last year I sold my window air conditioners on Marketplace when we got central air. I should have sold all the space heaters in the fall but did not get around to it. Good luck with your sales. I like marketplace because I do not have to package and mail or ship things.

@AmbiePam I had them come to my house because I did not have the muscle to manage them. Actually they were all acquaintances that bought them. I got each unit out of the window into the house and put it on a desk chair to wheel to a table on the porch. No way could I have taken them down to the outside and managed them.

I had better luck on the Facebook Buy, Sell, Trade pages. Also, I did yard sales.

Pretty used to sell stuff all the time on eBay... She'd sell it and I'd take it to the Post Office and ship it off to whoever bought it. I got tired of my part of that fairly quickly...
I don't sell stuff. I'd rather just give it away so I don't have to deal with it.

I give clothes, shoes, house items away. I’m not going to mess with that kind of stuff. But if it can bring me $75 like those calf massager things did, I’m going to try to sell. Especially with that medication I take that insurance won’t pay for.

@DaddyEvil Hey, Branson! You might want to go back to Branson!
You probably wouldn’t have to sell stuff to do that. But it sure would be fun if Covid and other things weren’t out there in the world, and you could just go.

I've sold things on eBay but not for quite a few years. I have a box of things my husband bought but never used. Everything is still unopened. I may sell a few of those things on eBay.

I think the last thing I sold were a few books on Mercari. It's good site to use. Shop wise I have an order for a shirt, two sets of car coasters and two tumblers.

@JordanLader Do you remember half.com? They were great, but then they merged with eBay and went away.

@AmbiePam I was skeptical at first but in some ways it's better than facebook. However I wish they would do something about their fees. I have to price up more than I'd really like to sell and make anything

That's great you sold it. About half a month ago I sold a nice vacuum mug which I got it free when I bought the capsule coffee. I have some vacuum mugs at home and I don't really have to keep an extra one. This is why I decided to sell it. I'm glad it sold out soon and this is a surprise

The last thing I sold was a Trader Joes lunch bag. FB Marketplace seems to just want to list cars and big ticket items, I am not going to post small things on there I think. although honestly, my last buyer came from there though I might go back to ebay, but I am going to list on Offer up first. Of course, I haven't been impressed with that, so not sure. I was just looking on Craigslist I might try to sell my Pilates stuff on there.

If you sell the new pair, would you be able to buy another one? If they help your legs, they might be worth keeping.
I've sold a few things on ebay over the years, but it seemed to get where people wanted everything for 99 cents and free shipping. I don't see how people make a profit like that. But I hope yours goes well if you decide to.
The last thing I sold was on FB marketplace, but I had so many scammers that I quit. Sorry to be discouraging~

The last thing I sold was a pair of horse-riding boots that Little One had grown out of (which I had bought on eBay a year or two earlier!)
Before that I sold a vintage Avon powder compact that belonged to my Mum.
I hardly sold anything on eBay in the last year - I've complained about that here before! Then suddenly I managed to sell three or four things and now nothing, again.
I can imagine Facebook marketplace might work for the boots, but I'm not so sure about the powder compact. eBay is a good place to find those one or two people who may want some odd thing you have lying around, that most people wouldn't want!
Have you thought of Vinted? That seems to be the latest big thing now that eBay has become such a pain to use.

The last thing I actually sold was a flute on OfferUp. I prefer OfferUp to the Bay because they don’t charge final value fees the way eBay does.
I’ve had a lot of struggles and pain with selling things that have put me off the sport for a bit. It’s really frustrating to me to have inventory sit for days with no offers or action. While I did have a “long play” sale of a puppet, these days I usually get irritated after a week of no interest and either adjust the listing or take it to the Salvation Army.
