I can’t believe Amyra (my niece) is fourteen today. One of the presents I sent her was a nail kit with many different colors of nail polishes, nail gems, nail stickers, and the like. She was so excited to get to paint her nails in a rainbow manner as my sister never lets her because she said it looks silly, but she let her do it for her birthday. I don’t think she’s letting her use the nail gems though. Either way, she’s thrilled with that and the choker I got her (apparently chokers are back, and Amyra loves them). When is the next birthday in your world? We have a Mylotter with a birthday coming up (not me), but she’s probably rather me not mention it. Share! *picture of Amyra’s real nails

Lovely! But I would have mixed up the colors more.She went from short wavelength (blue) to long wave length (red). Too scientific for me.

She has nice nails. This takes me back to about her age. Avon had a system with several colors plus a white polish. The colors looked a bit muted, but if you painted your nails white then added the color over it they were neon. So cool! My mom's comment about young teens doing silly looking things was to let them do it while young so that when they were old enough it really mattered they would know how to do things right.

That is going to be so fun, and I can’t wait to hear about the get together/celebration. And…I know. I was tempted to tell my sister that she was sounding like my late (very rigid) grandmother, but I like my head where it is. I mean, her nails look fine…she’s a teen!
