Pumpkin spice is already back?

I am already seeing pumpkin spice products in stores and restaurants. I received these dog treats to review, and was amused that companies even passed down the pumpkin spice tradition to dogs. And while my dog, Sadie, did not care for them, the neighbor dog surely did.
Pumpkin spice was a favorite of mine years ago, but not so much anymore. Where do you stand?

I am a fan of anything pumpkin or orange for that matter! Roll out the pumpkin! Most places will probably wait until September 1 though..then you will be seeing pumpkin galore!

@AmbiePam Pumpkin rolls are good. I prefer chocolate in terms of those though.

I like pumpkin. I also like spice. I make my own blend of pumpkin pie spice and it never leaves. It shows up in apple dishes as well, or in my morning oatmeal. Pumpkin is good for pets that otherwise tend to get constipated. The vitamin A is good for their skin and coats.

Pumpkin spice is something we never use in our kitchen. By the way what kind of spice is this? Where is it used as an ingredient?

I mean pumpkin spice is fine any time, but this is definitely not the season for it, especially as these are marketed for the, uh, "howliday". This is just "retail creep", like how Christmas decorations get stocked right beside Halloween stuff (poor Thanksgiving!) Best way to fight it is to refuse to buy anything until the proper time, I guess (I'm a big one for stocking up right AFTER the season, though, lol)

I have always loved pumpkin spice stuff. But some of it is a bit too weird...pumpkin spice potato chips? Pumpkin spice pasta? Um...not for me.

I'm way behind the times. I have never tasted anything pumpkin spice related.
Except pumpkin pie.
