I have the day off today. I am going to try hard to find a reasonable vehicle to replace my (formerly) trusty 2008 Chevy Siverado. I got four years out of that thing and have been happy with it.But the transmission is going out, and those are expensive to replace. I'll write about yesterday at Guitar Center later. My students did fine,and I got to teach a surprise "bonus lesson" after the event was over. I'm gonna be rich! I hope your Monday is shaping up well.

Rather than buying a new vehicle, have you checked to see how much replacing the tranny would cost? Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Yes.It is prohibitive. Especially given that there are other issues with the truck.

@TheHorse Oh, I see... We had the motor rebuilt in our car for $1,700 last month. There wasn't anything wrong with the tranny on it. Much cheaper than buying another car.

I hope you find a replacement that you get as much out of as the Chevy. Such a better choice than a Ford. My family are Chevy people.

The truck is not new, repairing is wasted money, because soon you will get a new problem. We made that mistake with an old car, finally we had to replace it after spending too much money to fix it.
