What a day for Beau Teak Siamese. He has been coughing more and more. Last night he stayed near me, never leaving. This morning I called his Doc. They had an opening this morning so I drove him through rain and wind. She said she needed to do more X Rays and a centesis into his chest. I could have elected to not do this. My bank account would have been much richer. Beau would have been walking the Summer Lands in Valhalla. I went with the centesis- gruesome but needed. Basically, the Vet takes a needle and aspirates the fluid from Beau. The X Rays showed lots of fluid. Beau is here on my lap now. He has a shaved side but is lively and alert. It must feel good to be able to breathe without a huge effort. We will get the lab results on what the fluid was. He has medication to take. He will go back for a re-check in about two weeks. He could be with me for?? months or years. Just have to wait and see. For how he is here resting. I am grateful our bank account was large enough to include Beau Teak's needs. And I am tired.
