And the bumper was gone….

About three weeks ago I came home, and there was a car bumper partly in front of my door by the railing. I moved it closer to the neighbor’s door as it was obviously theirs (it really was), and went about my business. Three weeks it stayed there. Now, it’s not the worst thing that’s ever been in front of my door. Once, around 5am, I walked outside my front door and there were pools of bloods, which when followed led to the stairs where handprints of blood were, as some of the blood had started coagulating.
But the bumper I did not complain about. I think maintenance saw it and might have told management, which I appreciate.
What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever found outside your front door?

Oh my, I hope that no one was hurt or murdered. We only end up with animals. One time we had a goat show up. Another time we had a yard full of cows.

I am with @Tampa_girl7 that what I often find are various animals. Some even come in the house. Pedro, of course, was the most recent. At my old house, way long ago, when my kids were even young, I ended up with a young Irish Setter in my kitchen. We always used the back door and I would prop it open to let the cat out and you never knew what came in. Yuck on finding bloody hand prints.

A bunch of colored beads. Like some kid's bracelet broke or something.
Blood? Seriously? Somebody call CSI!

If I stepped outside and saw blood, I'd call the police, assuming they weren't already there.
Once some dude a couple of streets over from us killed a possum and stuck it right in front of my door. One of my friends stepped on it and freaked out. I picked it up on a shovel and through it on the other dude's car. (He thought I'd killed his cat. His friends later said they told him it wasn't me but he never apologized.)

That is SO freaky!
Because I didn’t see a body on my way to the car, but I did see where the blood stopped) and because of a threat by my my then manager (which I didn’t know was illegal), I waited until the office opened and told them about it. They didn’t know he had been over in my breezeway, but they knew what had happened in his breezeway. Stupid people took weeks to put bleach on the blood because they didn’t comprehend my breezeway was the one I was talking about. Even though I had the inspector on their rear the whole time.
If it ever happens again, I’d call the cops. Unfortunately back then, I had been told a stack of lies, and there is something official in it being in written form. Lol

@AmbiePam I'm sorry you were told lies... I wouldn't have gone to the office. I would have called the police and let them deal with management as well as whoever was bleeding everywhere.

@AmbiePam I miss darling Leah. BUT there was the time..... our friend's 4 year old suddenly ran into our house without warning. Oh Leah. 85 pounds of WTF?? She did not harm the boy. She did quick as anything jump at him, stop and BOOM! bark. My niece was sitting on the couch. The house was silent and shocked. Then she said: I've never seen anything like that!!!

Hmm, well one time I found raccoon prints all over the front steps leading up to the door. They had gotten into a pumpkin and tore it apart. Weirdly last year I put some pumpkins out in the yard, and they wouldn't touch them! Go figure!

I think the weirdest was a sick raccoon drunk walking past the garage.

Did you find out who was bleeding and where the blood came from? I would have flipped like one of those police shows.

You found pools of blood and didn't finish the story??? There was a Mallard duck that knocked on our front door. I think he was looking for bugs. So cute.

I told the story back when it happened.
Although I should have quickly rehashed it. The guy one breezeway over from me had a butcher knife, and after getting into a fight with his girlfriend threatened to kill himself. Took the butcher knife, slit his arms, ran over to my breezeway, up my stairs, then retraced his steps to his breezeway once again.

The pools of blood would have upset me, I am sure it did you.
During the years I did a LOT of animal rescue work, I made a big discovery--word gets around. You can wake up and find a dog or two leashed to your back doorknob...left there by someone not wanting their dog anymore, or found and dumped for the rescuer to try to deal with. You can open the door and discover boxes (yes, I said boxes!) of puppies or kittens--maybe with the mama, and maybe not. Once I opened the door to discover a beat up box containing 14 little tiny black Lab puppies. They barely had their eyes opened, and mama was not included in the box. Lots of similar tales, but those stood out. Well, I know you have a good friend who is active in rescue work, so you have no doubt heard similar stories.
