Everyone we know teaches us something. Honoring someone special.

I was thinking of this yesterday and it's still on my mind today. I'm not sure why...when I get upset or impatient with someone, I remind myself that I learn something from pretty much anyone I meet or know well. Family or friend, acquaintance or simply someone you wave to, I do learn something. That they care or they don't, that they have a special giving spirit or are antagonistic, what's important to them and what isn't...the list goes on and on.
A year ago today, we lost a very special mylotter. Kharla was one of those people who strived so, so hard to find good in everyone. She didn't have it very easy, and she loved who she loved so very much. Here on mylot, she gave us a lot of support and truly cared. She wanted a home so badly. I like to think that now she has a special, forever home, with Kobe to walk with, and that she is able to take her walks and enjoy the little town she loved so much.
From her, I think we all learned that kindness and caring go a long, long way in this world. As we know, those two traits are more important now than ever. She touched many lives, and I am proud that she was my friend here.
Just wanted a chance for others to remember her on the day she went to her real home.

Thanks, Snowy. I wasn’t going to as I hadn’t realized until late last night that it was a year already that she passed away. She was definitely worth honoring and remembering.

She was a wonderful lady and so sad she was called home so unexpectedly but I am sure she is watching her family from above with Kobe right beside her, I sure hope her husband is doing OK,

She was a real prize. There are jewels in this world. She was such a dear person.
I have learned something I will share with you too. That when we get upset or impatient with someone, we need to remember that we are at one place in this life and they may not be at the same place. We all learn at different speeds, so I try to keep this in mind when dealing with people. Just because I feel one way in a given situation doesn't mean that someone else does or even sees the situation in the same way. We are all individuals. Each one learning and experiencing things in a different way. We need to meet people where they are and not expect them to be where we are emotionally or intellectually.

Just now
@MarieCoyle .......I just think it is important to meet people where they are at. Don't expect them to be where you are mindfully.

I agree with you that we are all different, and we all need to be more accepting of each other. What’s important yo one person is often not important to another, it’s important to realize this. We all walk a different path in life. Thank you for sharing this!

What a sweet tribute. I miss her so much. I had someone comment on an old discussion not too long ago, and I saw her kind words there.
I know she’s resting in her eternal Home, and we’ll see her again.

I hated it that she was under so much stress and heartache so often. All she wanted was a little home of her own.

I was checking facebook yesterday and I noticed Kharla profile. She was such a lovely woman, we were born the same year. She missed her home and she wanted to much to have one. My hope is that she is now enjoying staying in the house of her dreams with her lovely Kobe.
