Here she was trying to use the binoculars. You can see that she is all legs. The child needs to slow down growing. She had fun visiting. Even got to pet the rooster after I caught him.
Deciding if I want to go to the auction. I am thinking I will stay home. First is the hassle of getting through LaRue with everything torn up. They finally have the main drag fully closed. Second is I don't really need anything. Have enough critters. Third I have things to get done here.
If I stay home I will start some apple butter as my cousin bought more apples than he wanted. I also need to clean up the backyard from the wind gusts yesterday. And then I know it's early but I might put some of my Halloween stuff out.

Yeah, with George, the elephant and the giraffe, you have enough critters but you keep buying chicks and trying to hatch out ducklings, too. 
Monster does look like she's getting tall for her age. 
We thought Pretty was going to reach my height but she stopped growing taller when she was a little taller than her mom. (Her mom is 5' 2". Pretty is 5' 6".)
It will be a nice, cool day out today. If I can see later, I'd like to go out and see about chopping down some more of the walnut trees. The stumps where the neighbor cut down walnut saplings are trying to grow again.

I can't believe you'd blame the animals for eating... They don't know how to grow things themselves, you know.
Yup, yup! I'm 5' 10 1/2". Pretty is between us in height. I only have one brother shorter than me. He's 5' 8" tall. All the rest of the brothers were over 6'. Mom and dad were both shorter than me. Dad was only 5' 8" tall. Mom was the same height as Pretty.
I stepped out on the front porch and the door knocked me down. When I tried to come back inside, the storm door fought with me. 
My face is against the laptop screen for me to be able to read here today.

@DaddyEvil They need to go bring their own food home.
My parents were both only about 5 I don't think mom made that. But I think my dads grandpa was over 6 foot.

That little moment with the binoculars sounds so charming. It’s funny how kids just seem to stretch on forever sometimes, like they’re all limbs, growing so quickly you can barely keep up. I’m sure you’re cherishing those visits. That rooster sounds like a great character to catch, too!

She is like my granddaughter is, all legs. I can’t believe how much she has grown. As I have said before, there is so much truth to that country song, “Don’t Blink!” They seem to grow up so very fast. I am so glad you got to see both grand babies!
