The older I get…

I’ve always loved animals, but I never gave much thought to birds beyond the big, showy ones (peacock, anyone?) Over the last few years, I’ve been loving seeing the birds that visit the bird feeders my stepmom puts out (that the squirrels don’t raid). I was watching the hummingbird feeder yesterday, and this little guy came along. I hope you see it.
What do you pay attention to the older you get?

I'm lucky to be able to see words this morning... All pictures are still just blurs to me. Sorry.

Mom had hummingbird feeders outside several windows on our farm and I loved watching them.

I would say my health. I want to have a comfortable old age and not one riddled with health or other issues .

I love hummingbirds. I enjoy the older music now that I'm getting older -- music like swing, big band orchestras, etc.

That’s a beautiful reflection—and a sweet moment with the hummingbird. It’s amazing how paying attention to small, ordinary things—like a tiny bird flitting around a feeder—can quietly shift your perspective. The fact that you notice now, when you didn’t before, says something about you: you're opening up to stillness, to subtlety, to wonder. That’s a kind of growth not everyone achieves.
