Bread Bowl?

I had some soup today, and it came with a bread bowl. I ate half the bread bowl, and I don’t care about the carbs. My breakfast this morning didn’t stay, so I felt the calories were warranted. I’ve lost 25 much needed pounds (doctor’s approval). I enjoyed my half a bread. Do you like soup in bread bowls? A nice sourdough bread bowl?

I do, the taste matters most for me. At KFC, they have delicious egg soup in a bread bowl, so I tend to order it whenever I happen to dine there.

I've never had a bread bowl, but I would love it. I love bread. How are you losing the weight? I'm up ten pounds and really want to get it off. Congrats on your success!

Thank you, Vicki. I’m just not eating that much, really. Of course, I’m guzzling water. For the longest time I was really hungry, and then the hunger just started fading. Which is a relief because I was eating enough, I was just so hungry!

I tried a bread bowl only once. I had chili in it, but it did not seem practical to eat what was holding the meal. It would have been a bit messy.

I have had soup in a bread bowl …it’s a fun thing to do for a dinner party I think. If it’s just me and The Mister we just use ordinary soup bowls and have bread on the side.

Soup in a bread bowl is delicious. My favorite is to make homemade tomato soup for bread bowls. I think Panera still serves soup in a bread bowl, but I haven’t been there in several years.

Its bread baked in the shape of a round bowl, complete with a bread “lid”. They can be any kind of bread, but usually they are sourdough.You just put the soup (normally a thick soup or stew) into the bread bowl, and eat the soup. Once that is eaten you have a delicious bowl of bread to eat complete with the remnants of the soup on the bread. They bread isn’t soggy because the bread bowl is fairly thick.

Never had soup in a bread bowl, so can't truthfully answer. I remember having bread with my great-grandmother's homemade chicken and noodles and that was always good
