How often do you say I love you?

How often do you say it to people? I say it to my family a LOT, and even my best friend. When my mom got sick, suddenly I started saying it at the end of every conversation or every goodbye in case that was the last time I saw or talked to them. I got it from both my parents, and I’m glad I did. I do try to respect people I love, who are not comfortable with being told that. I don’t know a lot of people like that though.
Amyra (14) is in this picture, and I notice she says it at the end of our conversations too. You know, at the end of my mom’s life she lost her ability to talk. I remember the last time she ever said I love you. We were in the car, sitting in front of a 7-11, waiting for my dad. I told her I loved her, and she was able to push the words out with a smile. Made my day even in the midst of the heartache.

I don't think I say it enough. I am most apt to say it to my son though.

I rarely say I love you to anybody unless they say it to me first. I do love people but don't think about telling them I love them.
I give the hug and love emoji on myLot to friends a LOT more than I actually say it to anybody.

What a great smile Amyra has. I am glad she has picked up on the love all around her. I probably do not say it often enough, but you know, when I say it I mean it. Love you girl.

I say it more often when my mom is mad at me, especially when she is nagging everyone just to balance the hate, hehehehe, but its true.

That makes me tear up, but I am glad that you remember the last time that she said that.
Those are such important words.
I use them when I truly love someone and when I want them to know that, and for the same reason as you do, I may not see them again, but even if I do, I want them to know that I love them.
There were alot of I love you's said at the wedding when we left and said our good bye's.
I'm thankful that my family says it back.

I say I Love You a lot too.
Amyra has such a beautiful smile and it looks like she lights up a room when she smiles.
Such a wonderful memory you have of the last time you heard your mom say she loves you. Heartbreaking but also heartwarming

I always told my husband that I loved him. He was not into PDA and would mostly wait for me to say I love you first. I still tell my husband every day that I love him and miss him; and then I usually cry. It's going to take a while to get over this.

I say it often, daily. When I say it, I mean it...friends, family...there is not enough love in the world. I want to be part of spreading it around.

That’s such a beautiful and deeply moving way to express love, especially in those moments when life feels uncertain. I feel that "I love you" is more than a phrase for you; it's a way to keep the bond alive, even when things are tough or uncertain. It’s incredibly meaningful that you do this with your family and close friends. I think a lot of people feel the same way, but it’s rare to find someone who consciously makes that effort to say it so often.
Your memory of your mom’s last “I love you” is really touching. I can only imagine how precious that moment must have been for you, even in such a painful time. It sounds like the words held so much more weight in that moment, and it’s beautiful that you got to hear that from her. I think it's incredible that Amyra is carrying on that tradition. It must give you a sense of continuity, like love is being passed down in small, everyday moments.
Do you think saying it that often has changed the way you see relationships or how you approach them?

It is hard for some people to say I love you but never give up on telling people how you feel. Love is great to have in your life, I always tell my family and friends that I love them.
