Harvest!

When I got back from Montana, I noticed that my farm had yielded a lovely harvest. There was a plump and red Roma tomato on my tomato plant. I now have three more, almost ready to harvest.
I waxed artistic and took a photo of my tomato being eaten by a rooster (@Vandana7 and others know I am obsessed with chickens).The rooster is what Horse Jr. and I called my "decorative towel" It hung on my stove,but we were not allowed to use it.
Anyway, my art looks like a rooster blowing up a Balloon. I am OK with that.
How is your Wednesday shaping up?

@TheHorse I fought with my mom to win over arguement of deciding what is best and worst She won And I lost and that loss was not actually a loss .it is just a loss of arguement but was so beneficial that is the thing that made me happy

I’ve had a good Wednesday. I came to stay with my Mom for a few days ….we go shopping tomorrow which I love to do with her, and this afternoon I dehydrated some of my cherry tomatoes. They are ready to put in jars now for the Winter.

@TheHorse the ones I’ve done so far aren’t totally dried which is why I’ve put them in olive oil in jars ….the batches I do in the future that I totally dry out will be added to soups and stews etc….the juices / sauces will rehydrate them.

I went to the Centre for breakfast and lunch but I still want to eat something... maybe I'll have a tomato or two.

@TheHorse Not really, so I ate an entire bag of "Jello" brand candies.

I do enjoy the Romas. Chickens are a good one to be obsessed with. I used to collect them for the kitchen decor. Roosters blowing up baloons. How fun. It's like a circus.

Roma tomatoes are delicious! I'm glad your little garden is producing things you'll enjoy eating.
Nothing is happening here. I'm thinking about going out in a little while and putting the new license plates on front and back of our car and then calling a garage to send someone to jumpstart it for me. (The garage I've been using can't send anyone. Their mechanics are all out on vacation this week.)
We don't have anywhere we need to be this week but I'd still like the car running in case we want to go somewhere. (I'd kind of like to go buy some cinnamon rolls from the expensive grocery store. I've been craving one for a couple of weeks.
)

My Wednesday is closing up with a rainy evening. So sad to see a sunny day cloud over, but then the heat is cutting back, and it is in the 70s.

That's a cute photo. Very artistic. I bought a tomato plant the other day but it will be a while before it fruits. I know a tomato is technically a fruit but why don't we say 'before it vegetables'?

I picked so many ripe tomatoes today. It warmed back up and now I literally have dozens. Tomorrow I will turn them into tomato sauce and put some in the freezer cut up and ready to cook with later. I will probably have tomatoes to eat until frost, which makes me very happy.
