These two were sighted in our West Virginia neighborhood. They decided to have a bite to eat and apparently thought our neighbors front porch rug was tasty. No one seems to know where they came from. I hope that they found their way back home safely. Have you had any unusual visitors lately ?

Right now it is migration time and we are supposed to be seeing more birds.

@GardenGerty We usually only see sparrows and crows all summer long.
We had some bunnies and squirrels in the front yard this afternoon.

We have just sown seeds. Will have to protect them once we see leaves on them

@Tampa_girl7 Each of the varieties have different times for leaves to appear I think the balsom will be the first to show.

I wonder what makes something taste so good to them? Goats will eat nearly anything. No unusual visitors here lately.

@Tampa_girl7 Yes, they aren't known for their neatness, they can leave havoc in a yard.

We had some in our yard a few years back. They were a bit destructive.

Goats are ornery but they are supposed to be good lawn mowers.

Nope, just the deer family that are frequent visitors. They think there is something tasty here

I have had quite a lot to do with goats and they are just always chewing on something. Even adults will chew on your clothes, your shoes, your hair - it seems strange really as few other animals do that.

Just now
How cute. Too bad about the rug. I had a mallard duck knock on my front door once. I think he was looking for bugs.
