It just wasn't the best day.

We had a full day of appointments for the son today. Tests, his infusion, etc. then drove some more for yet another appointment. Finally made it home close to 7 PM. I heated the casserole I had made for tonight knowing it might be a long day, made a salad, and that was dinner--but hey, at least I thought that far ahead. He's so tired he ate and crashed.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a much calmer day, and not so tiring. We were glad to be home.
How was your day?

@MarieCoyle So strong and it's very obvious your son appreciates all you do for him.

I think sometimes it would be easier to scrub floors all day than some of these stressful days. And, less tiring! But we do what we must, and we mom's always hang in there for our kids, whether they are big or small!

Judy, before all this started, he was always doing something to help ME. He hates it that he really can't help right now. Yes, he is very appreciative of having me here and tells me that often. Thank you.

It sounds like you had such a long and exhausting day, but good thing you prepared dinner ahead—that was smart thinking. I can imagine how relieved you must have felt finally being home. My past days have also been quite hectic, though more on the mental side. I’ve been juggling a lot and it’s been draining, but like you, I’m just glad whenever I can take a breather at home. Hopefully tomorrow will be kinder to both of us.

Sometimes, it's the mentally draining things that are the most exhausting, I agree! When there is worry involved, I think it just affects us more than we realize it will.
I hope tomorrow we ALL have a good day, thanks so much!

You make me smile personally, not in some creepy way, just how you seem you are,. Enjoy the day miss lady.

Not that tiring! I did some housework (laundry, cleaned some stuff in the garage out) and had a great day. I pray tomorrow is better for you both.

@MarieCoyle - I had to go to Switzerland this morning. We did everything we needed to do but my husband is now exhausted. It's a very warm and sunny day. I told him to rest now.

I was able to get a few needed tasks accomplished. He isn't feeling well so he's been up and down, trying to rest. He isn't very hungry, but that could change shortly. Time will tell. Thank you, Anna. I hope you have a good day, too.

Yesterday was tiring but fun. Today fairly run of the mill, nothing exciting. Is there any progress with son?

@MarieCoyle You are welcome.
It is so dry here also, almost a month without rain will do that.
I prefer to have a casserole or something planned that I can do quickly in the instant pot, I do not trust letting the slow cooker go while I am not at home. They can malfunction and you cannot shut them off if you are way.

I honestly have never had a malfunction with a slow cooker. When I got my first one years ago, I was working and going to school. I latched on to that slow cooker and made a lot of meals for us.

I actually do that a lot. If I know he has treatments to go to, etc. or we are not going to be home until dinnertime, I either have a casserole to heat up quickly, or something in the crock pot that greets us when we open the door with a good aroma and is all ready to eat! It saves a lot of time and money.
I did finally get more sleep than I have been. It's been very hot this week, and no one really wants to go outside. Very dry, too. Thank you, Julia.

I'm sorry it was such a rough day. I had my eye doctor appointment. I didn't need glasses; and my eye pressure was good. I don't have to go back for 6 months.

Sometimes, we have to look for the good in every day, when the day is a really bad one or is very sad. But there is always a spot of good. I try to center my mind on that when things get rocky. Thank you so much, Marilyn.

Hospitals visits are long drawn with periods of waiting.
We are not in control and even at others' mercy.
I think of those who spent even years having to visit hospitals often.
I hope it should get better here afterwards.
It is good that you were well prepared for what was in store.
