Need Internet and TV service for the house

I need to get Internet and TV service for my house. For the Internet I am most likely gonna use Spectrum because it seems cheaper than Verizon FIOS. But as far as TV service goes I don’t know what to do. Spectrum is probably expensive and I don’t need hundreds of channels. There are only a handful of channels that I watch.
Seems like each of the channels has their own streaming service. I don’t want to subscribe to a streaming service just to watch one or two shows. And if you add up the rates for all these streaming services it probably becomes costly. Are there any other options that don’t break the bank?
The channels I watch (that have my shows) are CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, Food Network, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, AMC, Magnolia Network, and Hallmark. I may be forgetting some channels.

I think I have all of those with Hulu. There are more choices and movies than we can ever watch, for a lot less than cable. It's the only streaming service I have--I think I read they are having another special, you might check and see. Cable is on the way down...no one can afford it or they don't want to pay the wild price!

I thought of Hulu but I’d probably need to do Hulu + live tv. It said that’s $82.99/month; not sure if that is with tax or not. Have to see what channels are there. Spectrum TV is $100/month for 2 years. Of course that’s probably without tax.

@MarieCoyle wow! That’s very high. For me if I were to go with Spectrum and get Internet + TV it’s around $135/month for two years. Not sure if I’d get that rate because if it’s for new customers only I already have an account with them but at my mom’s house so that rate may not apply to me.
If I were to do Hulu + live tv and then get Spectrum Internet not sure what that would amount to as Spectrum Internet when it’s not bundled with TV service is higher cost.

I prefer streaming. You can drop it whenever you want to, and change to any other streaming service. Our cable here is constantly rising in price. If you have internet and cable TV here (nothing special, just basic) it's way over $300 per month, and that's ridiculous.

@lovebuglena I understand... That's why I use the free services. I get most of the channels without paying for them.

I can't give any advice as we watch very little TV but best of luck with get something that suits you that doesn't break the budget.

I'm sure the members will come up with a lot of suggestions for you because many have cut the cable.
