What If You Met a myLotter in Person?

I remember watching an episode of Celebrity Apprentice when Cindi Lauper was on the show, and there was some argument that ensued between her and another celebrity contestant (although I forget who), and there was something Cindi said that struck me when the other contestant stated with sadness, "You were my hero when I was growing up."
If you want your heroes to remain heroes, never meet them in person.
It makes me think of a few members on this site who know each other outside the site, or others who have had occasional meetups. We tend to get along rather well around here, behind our firewalls, but I wonder, is there anyone you might meet in person from here you'd be worried you might not like as much if you met them in person?
How would it make you feel if you walked away and thought, "Gee, I liked that person more before I actually knew them?"

I have met four or so other lotters. Some no longer are active here, but are my friends anyway. I need to make a point to go see Amber though.

Never really thought about that. The person I'd really like to meet in person in mylot is someone I know here to be the most authentic person. So meeting him in person wouldn't;t make me like him less.

Mrowr hissss! I'm a cat, I don't want to meet any stinkin' hoomins (unless they have a nice piece of fish or some cream to offer me), then I might let them pet me, but only for 5 seconds.

I would have to like them in the first place to meet them, so I don't think seeing them in person would really make a difference. There is always something that surprises you in person though when you have talked to people online..neither good nor bad, just different.

That's what I mean. I hear stories all the time about long distance relationships going really well, or hell, even close ones, that go sour the minute they move in together. Sometimes distance makes a person more likeable, but the more you are actually around them...
They change, in your mind. lol

Not sure how I would feel, I guress my first though would be how odd to see them before me and not behind the PC monitor and then it would be a great feeling if we could be friends,

That would be a terrible feeling. I do know one Mylotter in person. She is lovely. Both of my sister’s were on here, but have been missing in action for years. I would like to think that I would like my friends here in person. So far I haven’t met any.
