This includes responses and comments. If you want to ask questions of other members about other members do it in a PM where I cannot see it.
The myLot discussion forum is not for discussing other members.
It has recently been brought to my attention that some users here have chosen to begin discussing other users, by name, quite often in a derogatory manner, in...

I will do my best not to ask about a member that has disappeared; and will only post if someone has passed away.

If only there weren't those Harriet types around
In the 14 years I've been here I've never gotten to see those kinds of posts ....... I wooda reported them if I had ....... but I have seen some that let everyone know about a well liked member passing away which I know admin wouldn't object to.
Does this mean my chair can rest easy now cuz ya can't make fun of it anymore??

Oh, rats, someone talking about me again? And I didn’t get to corroborate things?
Seriously, there’s a vast difference in genuine concern (such as late last year/early this year when Linda Ohio’s husband passed away) and malicious gossip. When Linda came back I deleted the discussion about her. And “I wonder if (whomever) is okay” is not the same as saying “that lowlife brat.”

I think we need a somewhat more liberal approach.
While not fully allowed, occasional talk can sometimes be there about a person.
And checkout more with your experiences.

Ideally speaking if you are friends here with someone, you can communicate with them through Private Messages. However, if response to PMs is not forthcoming for a long time then a discussion should be allowed on this subject. Having said that if myLot rules do not permit a discussion about a user, then we will have no option but to follow the rules.
