* My apologies, I posted this and on my end, it posted 4 times. I finally got three of the posts deleted, and then the fourth one disappeared. Not sure what I did wrong, but I did something!! *
We all love to get good surprises, don't we?
A few weeks ago, some mylotters posted that they got a settlement check from facebook. I had vaguely remembered registering for that, but it's been a long, long time...so I thought maybe me not getting anything when everyone else did was no doubt right, maybe I wasn't entitled to it.
No doubt mine got here late because of the absolutely terrible mail service we have here. I was just happy to get it.
In yesterday's mail, I received a check for $33.26! I will take it!!

From my laptop, I can only see one post, and it's this one. I honestly didn't do anything differently than I usually do, I don't know what the problem was/is. Yes, I was excited to get that check!

It was for something that facebook did, and for the life of me I can't remember what, a class action lawsuit. Anyway, it was long ago, and I had all but forgotten about it, so it really was a good surprise.

That's awesome. I got a 9 12 cent refund from my old insurance company .Of course they didn't offer to refund my 45 dollars membership fee..

Nowadays, it's hard to even get insurance to pay for what they promised in the first place, let along pay extra for a refund. I was just amazed.

Chewy is a fantastic company. I recall a friend telling me her sister had cancer, and was going through treatment. She called Chewy to cancel her monthly delivery of treats and a cat toy, etc. as she said she thought she had enough for awhile, to save money. They sent her the box anyway for several months, no charge, and flowers. I was impressed!

That's nice. Especially this time of year. I vaguely remember this Facebook thing and don't recall if I signed up for it or not. Sad that you have terrible mail service. I guess it is good to have mail service at all.
My grandson sure was elated when he got his check recently. It wasn't from Facebook but from a settlement none the same. It was for $3600. He got a Nintendo Switch 2 and several other things in the clothing department he needed.

It certainly is. A person had to apply for this refund by August 2023, I discovered. I knew it had been a long time--over two years.
