I Slept In

I woke up and the bed was chilly. So I turned the blanket back on and went back to sleep. I was only about half an hour late getting up.
I turned the 3 young chicks out with the big ones yesterday. That went pretty smoothly. This morning the baby roo got a talking too. He was pecking at the fur on my boots. That was okay but then he jumped at my leg. I picked him up and told him if he wants to become a big boy he will stop that 
. I think he was just looking for food which they need to learn to go outside and get now.
Today I will start with making pie filling. Then maybe end making apple butter. I have 12 more pints of that put up now.

Sounds like another apple filled day at your house.
Hopefully baby too won’t turn into renegade roo. Especially since you gave him a talking-to!

Sleeping in is allowed at our age, dear. In fact, in a lot of cases it’s required.

This is the time of year when turning the blanket back on and getting some extra sack time is so very nice. Our floors are cold first thing in the morning and I hate getting up for the usually potty visit until I absolutely have to do so.
Sounds like little roo is learning the ropes.
Pie filling and apple butter. Sounds good.
