I’ll be traveling to Oregon today and will try to catch up with everyone later this week. I wanted to wish you all a wonderful day!
I’ll be in Oregon for about nine days; visiting, attending some medical appointments, and ending the trip with a couple of nights at the coast for some much-needed relaxation.
When I return home to Washington, I’m hoping to see a bit more progress on the house. It’s been challenging lately. The guy who came yesterday, to work on the brick around the house, found out they never hooked up the water or electricity. Lots of roadblocks, but taking it one step at a time.
Wishing you all a beautiful day, and I’ll talk to you soon.
The photo I took a couple weeks ago, is of the Willapa Bay, formally Shoalwater Bay, about 7 miles from the town I live in.
Edit: It's not allowing photos today.

Oh, I am glad you are getting away for a bit, even if it does involve Dr. appointments....it has to be depressing to see hardly any progress made. Just take care of you, we will see you when you get back!

I am glad you stopped in--I haven't been here much except to try to read and answer notifications, lately I am always behind. I am sorry to hear you had to have skin cancers removed. I hope they heal quickly. Take good care of yourself!

@JudyEv I try to tell myself the house is there and that is a start. It's frustrating to know we may be in our travel trailers over the winter and off grid. It's horrible in a trailer. My son is over it. I've done it since 2023 except when living about six months inside the coastal house before we moved. I'm strong but sometimes, that weakness pops up and I get whiney.

It's very frustrating. There are several crews for different things and crazy. The water is the water company and the electric the same. They have to work with the contractor for the trenching. The skirting guy is with another crew. Inside the house, another. My son wishes he never did this "package" thing. It's hard to explain. It began with the place that orders the house, crews, etc. and lots of permits. Getting everyone on the same schedule in the rain forrest is rough. Sun comes out, they are at different places.

That's quite a way for a medical appointment.
I hope your trip and everything else goes well.
My maternal grandparents used to live in Salem.

@noni1959 I know how that is. My brother keeps saying I should move out of the town I'm in, but everything is here, my doctor, the transportation I'm familiar with the stores I shop at...I don't want to leave!

Thank you. I moved to Washington from Oregon and not letting go of two of my doctors I have left here. They know me very well and give me the best care so far. Today involved three more skin cancer surgeries. I get a lot of them and they know my body very well. I have a few specialist I changed to WA but to find a good primary and dermatologist has been hard. Salem is where I had the surgeries today.

@xstitcher It can be hard for sure. I miss Oregon. My son is in WA and my daughter will be moving this way by spring, hopefully. My son-in-law works out of Washington and tired of driving to OR. I just moved to this small town with my son. It's really growing on me there.

@noni1959 ........That sounds wonderful. I haven't been to the coast in a decade at least.
