Ugly Christmas Sweaters

I love ugly Christmas sweater parties. I was recently sent an ugly Christmas sweater to review, but unfortunately, they sent me the wrong one. The one they were supposed to send me had Santa riding a dinosaur, and it was just terrible. The one they did send me had a cute puppy in the middle with Merry Christmas underneath, but a bunch of angry cats surrounding it. I much prefer the ugliness of the Santa riding a dinosaur. Both “sweaters” have fir tree background with stockings and ornaments.
Do you like get into the spirit of those sweaters? Or do you like the sweaters that really are deemed pretty?

I do not care for sweaters much at all. I have a cute winter sweater vest with snowmen Bob got me. I think I am more into cute.

Not sure too many sweaters are made and born to be ugly..Somebody might get their feelings hurt if they have worn a similar sweater or given one as a gift and it was deemed ugly. I prefer pretty Christmas sweaters.

I thought of that, but you can’t mistake the Santa riding the dinosaur or the angry kitties spitting venom at the dog. This company actually specifies they only make ugly Christmas sweaters. If you’re wearing one of theirs, there is only one reason why.

When I was in my twenties and thirties, I wore nice sweaters during the winter but never saw the point in deliberately wearing ugly clothing.
I haven't worn a sweater since I started having trouble being too hot all the time, so somewhere in my late thirties or early forties. Now I just wear a heavy shirt as a jacket over whatever shirt I chose to wear that day and call it good instead of buying and wearing a coat in the cold weather. (I still have an expensive leather coat in our coat closet but haven't worn it in years and years. Pretty also has a nice leather coat but she hasn't worn hers in years, either.)
I did pick out a new heavy sweat jacket with a hoodie to use as a jacket this fall but haven't even taken the tags off of it yet.

I’m pretty sure the premise, which you likely already know, is that a whole lotta Christmas sweaters are ugly unintentionally. I don’t know anyone who wears ugly ones anywhere but a party that calls for them. The pretty ones I enjoy seeing even before Thanksgiving hits.

@AmbiePam I was hoping I could show you my new shirt/jacket. It's cream colored and fuzzy inside. It's also longer than a normal shirt so even my butt should stay warm when I'm wearing it.
My second wife LOVED ugly sweaters but she couldn't see that they were ugly. She had one that was a bright yellow with what looked like brown stains all over it, like an ugly spotted cow... I HATED that sweater but she'd wear it all the time. 
When we were getting divorced, I took it and threw it away. No reason to tell her it was hideous. I didn't dislike her that much.

I love all kinds of large-sized silly-looking Christmas sweaters or sweatshirts. I might get myself one to wear around the house all Christmas so I am not a complete Grinch, but I will be spending Christmas Eve with the Grinch and Scrooge.

I can't wear sweaters. I get too hot. It's just me anyway; and I don't dress for the season.
