The Misunderstood Chocolate

Several of you are vocal chocolate lovers. I’m not one that chooses chocolate over other desserts, but nothing beats a chocolate milkshake (I really want one now!). So some of you also talk about dark chocolate being better for you, and you’ve switched to that.
But what about white chocolate? No one ever talks about white chocolate. There used to be a chain yogurt shop that sold some delicious white chocolate frozen yogurt. It’s actually the only kind of chocolate my stepmom can eat because she’s allergic to milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
How do you feel about white chocolate? It’s my favorite. Try a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie too.

@Marilynda1225 - I agree, particularly when come back home and outside is cold and your hands are freezing.

I've always loved dark chocolate even before all the hoopla about it being better than milk chocolate. However, I'd never turn down milk chocolate
I do like white chocolate and my mouth is watering thinking about that white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. My daughter has always loved white chocolate and would be the only one of my kids who would get a white chocolate bunny for Easter while her siblings got milk chocolate ones.

@Marilynda1225 I like dark chocolate since I was a kid and I never cared to know if it was healthy of not. My husband likes white chocolate.

@LadyDuck me too. The word "healthy" chocolate never existed when I was a kid. It was just a choice and I just happened to prefer dark chocolate.

I don't think white chocolate is a true chocolate because although it does contain cocoa butter, it has no cocoa solids in it. It is sort of its own thing. I like it well enough, but it is never going to replace real chocolate in my heart. My first husband was a fan of white chocolate, and would always take that over regular chocolate.

You know white chocolate isn't really chocolate, right? It's the fats (cocoa butter) from cocoa beans mixed with milk, sugar and flavorings.
I will eat white chocolate as well as dark chocolate but prefer milk chocolate.
I used to work with a woman who couldn't eat milk chocolate or dark chocolate but loved white chocolate.
I don't like macadamia nuts.

@AmbiePam I don't want them at all. Dad used to buy them every Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday and couldn't understand that I didn't like them. I'd eat all the other nuts he'd buy but not those.

I like white chocolate; but there's no chocolate in it. I've been eating 70% dark chocolate to help with my blood sugar and blood pressure.

I like all three kinds of chocolate, although technically, because it does not have cocoa solids white chocolate is not chocolate. It is cocoa butter to which milk and sugar have been added. So Dianna must be allergic to the cocoa solids.

Ohhh those cookies are so good! One of my favorites, up there with no bakes and chocolate chip. LOL! Yep I'm one that love chocolate. My husband loves Dark Chocolate and even thou it is better for you I just don't like it. I will admit I have little self control when it comes to sweets, so I don't buy often and thought about it earlier this morning, going to ask the guys not to get a lot of it during Christmas this year for me. Will make a healthier me. As for white chocolate I like it but not as much as Milk Chocolate.

It's ok in small amounts, but it really isn't chocolate. It's made with cocoa butter but it does not contain the non-fat components of cocoa (cocoa solids).

I don't think white chocolate is even really chocolate, as it has no cocoa in it! I'll eat it, but I don't consider it chocolate.

I really don't care for milk chocolate at all. I prefer dark. White chocolate sometimes, but dark is my all-time favorite.

I love chocolate ….in any form.
My favourite is dark chocolate, then white then milk.
I much prefer a bar of chocolate to a box of chocolates, with a filling in the centre.
