Anyone care for a holiday pie?

A friend of mine went to McDonald’s, and you know those “apple pies” they sell? She said they are selling “holiday pies” too. I’ve included a picture. To me, it tastes like vanilla pudding, which it probably is. I do like the sprinkles though. What is favorite seasonal food? Would you like a holiday pie?

Pecan pie for me, please... I sometimes buy one out of season but mostly buy them for Thanksgiving or Christmas. (I used to make my own pecan pies but stopped because my recipe makes two pies at once. If I have two of them, I will eat two of them and don't need that much sugar all at once. )

@AmbiePam Technically, I'm diabetic but, as long as my tests come back as pre-diabetic, I'll continue to eat some sugar-laden desserts I love once in a while.

My favorite pie ever is Strawberry-Rhubarb, my one daughter makes one for me on my birthday, other than that I might have a slice of Pumpkin on Thanksgiving. That is about it for eating pie for me.

If a strawberry rhubarb tastes as good as my Strawberry candle smells, I’d try it.

Mom used to make strawberry-rhubarb pies when I was growing up. They were her favorite. I used to eat a slice back then and it was good but definitely not what I choose for dessert when I have a choice.

I like their apple better, but for a change of pace it’s not bad.

My favorite holiday pie is pecan pie. I wouldn't mind trying the McDonald's pie.

It would be awesome if they would sell pecan or pumpkin pies. I didn't know they did holiday pies. I only remember the apple and cherry. Did they heat this up?

We will be having a traditional Bavarian dessert tonight. The German translates to 'Kaiser's mess' so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

You’ll have to write a post about it. I’d be interested in hearing about what that is.

I just do not do McDonald's, so I would not try their holiday pie. I think the apple would have more character. All of the above are my favorite holiday pies.

Huh. I might like it--though right now I'm trying to watch what I eat due to my cholesterol being high.

I'll probably buy a pie for Thanksgiving for the first time ever. We're having a small dinner (with Dale's help) for just us with Robert and Nathan.

I have to admit I do like those apple pies from McDonalds. Haven't had one in awhile but they were good from what I remember. Don't know if I would try their holiday pie but maybe I would?? My favorite pie is apple crumb My mom used to make the best apple crumb pie and all my life I haven't been able to come close to making one half as good.

I don’t think I have a seasonal favorite. I do love a fruit pie made with fresh fruit. I imagine the holiday pie in the picture is tempting to all ages.

I would surely enjoy a vanilla pudding. I love the Christmas Yule cake, the traditional holiday dessert that is shaped and decorated to look like a log.

I used to make cheesecakes every Thanksgiving. My favorite seasonal food is Thanksgiving dinner...all of it!!! I don't know if I'd like a holiday pie.
