Flowers from my mother's old garden

We’ve had friends from Bavaria staying for the last few days. Last night we camped in the bush and a possum and a woylie came to visit. I’ll write about them later but today we took them to the farm where I grew up. My cousin and her husband who now own the farm were away but told us to take our guests on a tour of the farm. We also filled the garden ponds and were able to rescue a blue-tongued lizard from one. He was very lucky we came along as he seemed very unwell when we got him out. However, he waddled off after a while so I hope he will recover. The collage shows some of the beautiful flowers in her garden which was once my Mum’s pride and joy. The roses are just magnificent.

I'll keep trying but meanwhile I guess we just have to wait for the issue to be resolved.

They're working now so that's good. It took a long time last time before we could post photos.

@JudyEv Here I am back because I noticed they were up. That looks like amaryllis in the upper left corner. Here those are sold seasonally and mostly bloom at Christmas.

@GardenGerty We also call it hippeastrum. A bit strange that it's blooming almost at our Christmas too.

I hope the lizard survives his swim in the pool. I'm sorry the photos seem to be having problems on myLot again. I would have loved seeing your mom's garden flowers. Hopefully they'll get photos fixed again soon.

I'll add it here later or else add it to a new post. It's a pity though as now I might be battling to make payout.

I didn't take photos of the roses. I should have. Vince took this one. It's going up each side of an archway.

There are varieties of marsupials there. You must have felt a great sense of familiarity when you saw your mother old garden.

Things have been changed around a little but there was still much to remind me of how it was when we lived there.
