But it shouldn't last too long. They have all of the old wall off already and have started replacing the studs that were bad. I hope to be back to normal soon.
I was surprised when the outside cats came to me this morning with all of the noise. Bertha went back into hiding after I petted her. Dora and Star started eating.

The worst thing about repair work is the noise. Poor babies. Poor you, too.

I hope they get finished soon. The noise and dust were the worst parts of the construction guys being here this summer.... I wished they could just do everything and be done with it but they'd do a day or two of work and then wouldn't show up for a week. I'd just get the place cleaned up and they'd be back to make more mess. 
*sigh*
They still have to come back and replace the two storm windows that won't close. I guess they won't be back until next summer to do that. They were waiting on the replacement windows to be manufactured the last I heard.

@wolfgirl569 Them working from the outside would have been wonderful! The siding here was too brittle for them to add the insulation from the outside.
The construction guys that worked on our house don't work during the winter. That's what took them so long after they started working on the house. They did their inspection two years ago and sent in people to fix windows and then didn't come back until this summer to do more work.

The outside wall to the back room was rotting. The people before us took out a bunch of windows and then closed it in with pressed boards.

Hope the construction isn't too.noisy. I just had a hot drink at Sheetz was OK...not worth the money almost as much as Sbucks. I will wait until they go on sale.
