Do you like Olive oil?

My parents have many olive trees. At this time of the year they are ready to harvest. It is a lot of work but it is great to have our own olive oil, every free time I have is to help my parents as we need to collect the olives as soon as possible, next week it is going to rain. Olive oil is essential for us, we only use this kind of oil on our kitchen. It is very expensive but as we produce our own it is quite affordable. Do you use/like olive oil? Picture of some olives that we collected today.

I do use olive oil. I do not make my own, though.

Do you have olive trees there? Maybe the weather isn't suitable for them.

Yes, we use a lot of it. We use it in our cooking and sometimes as a dip for bread and Pretty uses it for salad dressing.

@nela13 I agree, it is delicious but we didn't know it was healthy, until somebody on myLot said that several years ago. We switched to it when I told Pretty that.

I know picking olives is very labour-intensive. I hope you can get them all picked before it rains.

@nela13 They have machines to harvest all sorts of vegetables and fruit but they don't seem to have invented anything to pick olives.

I do not like the taste of olive oil, I prefer butter. You are so lucky your parents grow olive trees and process the olives for oil.

Yes, we do like olive oil. We would probably like it even better if we had our own grove like your parents. But we are fine with the kind we're using. I can imagine that it would be quite a bit of work to harvest but I'm sure that the hard work is well worth it.
