What do you do to keep busy while the gas tank fills?

Yesterday before I left town I stopped to fill up my tank with gas. I saw a guy whose big rig was filling with gas and he was using his spare time to lift weights next to his truck.
That was something have never seen anyone do while waiting before. I would be so embarrassed but it’s a healthy thing to do and to each their own right! Now if he has his shirt off and was standing there doing it to try to impress women it would have been very akward but that wasn’t the case he had a winter jacket on and was just doing his thing.
What do you do while you are waiting? If my husband is pumping gas I usually read a book same as I do while waiting at a pharmacy etc.
Photo is of a bouquet of flowers my husband got me for our anniversary in September.

The photos were supposed to load but I see no photo. I no longer drive a car, I came back to see the bouquet and the flowers are lovely, Did the lilies pop open?

The flowers are lovely. I am getting rid of my last car; and I haven't pumped my own gas in decades.

@lindaohio definitely nice when the husbands are around and can pump it for us especially in those cold months. I assume you no longer drive though?

@shaggin I could drive if I wanted to; but I don't want to. I used to drive in-state, out-of-state; but now I'm afraid to drive. Too many crazy drivers out there.

It only takes me a couple of minutes to fill the tank, get the receipt, etc. I never thought about having something to do while I fill up. Lifting weights, wow...he must be driving a lot, maybe for work, and feels the need to stretch.

@MarieCoyle when I wrote this I was thinking it was just a tractor trailer but it was a tractor trailer that transports fuel. I can only imagine how long it takes to fill one.

Lovely flowers. I get what you mean about if he was doing it to impress, some would. It takes a lot of fuel to fill the big rig, and the drivers sit so much. I am glad he was making a healthy choice. My first husband drove a semi.

@GardenGerty I don’t think I would have ever thought to lift weights while waiting like that. It definitely can’t hurt for him to be doing that and it’s a healthy option for his body.

I rarely fill my tank all the way..but I may put more in than usual tomorrow. Consequently, I don't have much time to kill when getting gas normally

@snowy22315 most people who have to pump their cars for themselves probably don’t have to much time to do things I’d guess. Just a few minutes to fill my tank. My husbands truck being so much bigger takes considerably longer.

I hardliy have time to stretch a bit. I have never filled the tank completly in my life. I just add around $10 each time.

@marguicha wow you must not have to drive fat at all to put so little in. The closest aldis or Walmart for us to get groceries is over 30 miles away.

That's a beautiful bouquet!
It doesn't take long to fill up a 12 gallon tank. I usually just watch the other people at the pumps or just watch the price wheels spin until the tank is full.
At least the guy wasn't being disgusting while lifting weights.

@shaggin Yes, I watch other people. Sometimes they're fascinating... sometimes not. But it's usually interesting, just the same.

I just wait but it doesn't take long as I usually don't let the truck get real low. If I was driving one of those big ones I would find something to do. He has a healthy routine

@wolfgirl569 mines all over the place as far as how often I fill it. I go by if I have enough gas to get to the gas stations in Ny that are lower cost and if I can use the upside app there.
Agreed can’t hurt to keep in shape.
