Of course, it started storming when it was time for us to leave for the Endocrinologist's office this morning. We drove through rain and fog both on the way. We made it there just fine. (Using the GPS on Pretty's phone. ) Coming home was much better. We just had to contend with light fog. We both like the new Endo MUCH better than the old one. He asked when I'd last seen an Ophthalmologist and I told him last year and have an appointment to see the eye specialist again on December 9th. He said that was fine. This guy asked a LOT more questions than the other guy did, then did an examination, looked at the ultrasound of my thyroid my GP ordered last month, checked the prescriptions I'm taking for everything and said everything looked fine to him. He ordered blood tests, which I did before we left his office. If there's anything wrong, he said one of the nurses will call me.

@DaddyEvil Funny you. I'm driving about a mile to the grocery store this mornning and no further. For once we have sunshine so I must wake up and walk some dogs around the block.

I'm glad this Endo was nicer. Fog already? We haven't had any here yet. Hopefully the nurse won't need to call you.

@DaddyEvil ........I enjoy watching the fog grow but I don't like trying to drive in it.

Thank you. We've had pea-soup fog several times this fall. When we went to Springfield to see my Endo, it wasn't that bad. I think the rain kept it from getting too thick. I hope I don't hear from his nurses until time for my next blood test in six months.

@celticeagle I've never seen fog rolling in. It's always in place when I start moving around and then I ignore it unless I have to drive through it. It is NOT fun to drive through.

I hope everything works out better with this new Endo . What a difference it is to find a doctor who seems to be thorough and makes you feel like they really want to help you. Glad you both made it home safely!

@LadyDuck Thanks... I don't want to drive 124 km just to see a doctor who isn't actively doing anything except talking to me every six months. I have four who do that and they're all in Springfield within a few city blocks of each other but won't allow me to see two of them on the same day.

Glad you like the new one, makes a person more comfortable to go when you like the doctor. Sounds like he took his time and went through everything too. Hope there is nothing wrong and so no phone call!

The doctor we meet makes difference. Some take genuine care while a few seem to be a bit distant. That applies to others too and it hurts when we really need help. I hope all will be fine.

I agree, some genuinely care and want the best for us while others are only using us to collect a paycheck. Thanks. I hope you and your family are all doing well.
