There was nothing left to the imagination, whatsoever.

Yesterday, I had one short errand to run and that was all. Got my short list, and off I went.
At the store, I quickly shopped for our few needs and headed for the cashier. And that's where the show was. A lady (although I do hesitate in calling her a lady) was in line ahead of me. And she was wearing exactly ONE clothing item. ONE! She had on an extremely tight pullover sweater. The bottom of the sweater did not reach the bottom of her fanny, and no, I am not exaggerating. Every time she moved, she flashed her fanny. It was not appropriate...and although I didn't see it, the lady behind me claimed she did--flash what I will try to say were her front private parts.
OK, I am no prude. I know some people truly dress inappropriately and seem to enjoy the reactions they get from other's looking. I tried hard to look away, which is difficult when someone is in line in front of me. Before it was her turn, the person in front of her said something to set her off and the situation started to escalate. The store manager appeared out of nowhere, went to her and said he was opening another register, and to please go with him. He said nothing about her inappropriate attire, I heard him and he was very polite. She decided she didn't like being singled out, tossed her two items on the floor, and addressed him with a loud and emphatic F-U. She stomped out...
And the people in the store clapped!
At that point, actually before that, I found myself embarrassed to even be a female. Obviously, she wanted attention or to advertise the goods. I don't understand why people do this. It makes everyone so, so uncomfortable.
Are you comfortable when someone reveals so much in a public setting?

I just find it disgusting actually. I think store managers should throw out people who dress like that. It isn't decent.

After she stomped out, the manager said he had already called the police. When I went outside, she was at the far end of the parking lot, with a squad car right next to her.
You are right, it's just not pretty.

No, I’m not comfortable, but I haven’t noticed a situation like that in quite awhile. I can think of one time we went to see a play in school, and the men’s pants were so tight (in the play), you could see specific “shapes”. Our teachers led us right back out the door.
But that was a play. In real life, I saw it quite a bit where I grew up. Where I live now, I see it less and less, and like I said, not in awhile. Thank goodness!

It's just embarrassing to even see someone display themselves like that. It was more than obvious that she had absolutely nothing at all on under that sweater.
I can see why your teachers removed you all from that setting. Ugh.

@MarieCoyle that is true. She might be going through something.

Well, yes, there was an attitude. But we don't know what has happened to make her that way, either.

We never really know what has happened. Hopefully, she will find her way.

I usually don't laugh at people acting like she did, or similarly. No one wanted to look at the woman, I noticed. Only the one fellow that caused her to blow up.

I have no way of knowing. The policeman was talking to her when I left.

That is disgusting. I did see a girl once in a parking lot walk by who had such short shorts on you could practically see her rear end. I drove off and wondered how many people in the store she was entering would think how trashy she looked.

I do have to say that trashy was one of the words that came to my mind when I saw her. She also had the longest fingernails I think I have ever seen, painted black. I wondered if she used them to claw her victims??!!

Oh my goodness, this is disgusting and the store manager should have stopped her. I understand freedom, but public places are open to everyone, including children, this is not something kids should see. I applaud the manager, she was not a lady of course.

@MarieCoyle I am not prude, usually I am not shocked, but sometimes I feel disgusted.

I am the same. I’m no prude, either. Some people want attention so badly that they neglect to be decent humans.

As a blind woman, I'm thankfully spared from seeing such things in public. However, I did have a woman think it was okay to adjust my bikini top at a hotel pool, once. It didn't feel like anything was flashing, even if one of the straps slid down my arm a little because I was wheeling myself. I was none to polite about it, only because I didn't want to get arrested for asult. Otherwise I might've slapped her for trying to touch me.
Although, George's filter vanished, so now I get discriptions of things I didn't ask for.

@MarieCoyle It was beyound wrong, and it's not like I was flashing anyone, or trying to. But, when my hands are otherwise busy, I don't control everything else.
I think you're right. George used to hold his tongue more, but some of what he says, is random.

The woman may have thought she was helping, but that was inappropriate.
Oh, dear. Yes, that often happens with stroke victims, and they don't realize it, I don't think.

It probably wasn’t exactly the attention she was striving for, as she received no admiration.

It was not a good thing to do, as I said the manager did call the police but it was after the altercation.

That would make me feel uncomfortable. In Covid when we had to queue outside the stores there was a female of about 25 who was dressed as though she was going on a night out in a very seedy area ! Everything …..and I mean everything ….was hanging out. Very embarrassing !

I struggle when I see someone revealing too much. I generally look away and try to move on as soon as I can. But when you are in line at a store, that's not really possible.

I would think that her lack of covering her pertinent parts would be classed as indecent exposure. I don't know what happened with the policeman after I made my escape.

It certainly was not appropriate, or even attractive, and certainly not acceptable. I found myself standing there and thinking, I would love to just ask her ''did you forget your pants?'' But I wisely said nothing...often, it's just better that way.

@mariecoyle Some folk just have no shame, no self respect, no sense of the danger they put themselves in, no thought for others … That woman needs to be told by society that no-one wants to see her goods.

I certainly had no desire to see the goods, not at all! And yes, it's pretty sad to have no self-respect.
