Ah, Screw It

That's what you just have to say, sometimes. Screw it.
I have back issues and have for years now. Something that only gets progressively worse unfortunately. The joys of aging? Or perhaps the pains due from a lifetime of being hard on my body.
Cervical radiculopathy and arthritis in my back. It is what it is, as I have become fond of saying over the years. So, sometimes it can be difficult to find a comfortable spot to lay in the bed. Eventually, when I do, I have to shift anyway.
So, I was trying to find that "spot," and then all of a sudden, I'm coughing.
Sinuses must be draining. Great. Because the weather's changing and of course that wreaks havoc on the arthritis AND gives me a slight case of the sniffles.
I got up to try to hack something up. 2:52 A.M. I'm usually up around 5:30 A.M.
I contemplated it for a bit, then threw a cup of coffee in the microwave and went back to my wife and said, "Screw it. I'm just going to get up."

Not easy to live through so many health issues. But yes, a positive mindset and bit of sense of humor helps. So yes, Screw it. We are here to live and count every little blessings and do our best. Take care

@arunima25 One day at a time, as they say. That's all one can do.

Sorry you're awake so early...
I've been enjoying a runny nose for several days now. Rainy, then it's not, then rainy again. *sigh*

@porwest I'm glad you got back to sleep this morning.
I'm positive I don't have a cold. It's only one nostril that is running and so is that eye. I think I have an infection in that eye again.

@porwest I have a prescription for Vitamins C and D that I take daily. I only get a cold if Pretty passes one to me.

Around 3:49 I gave in and went back to bed. I felt like I'd have been dragging all day if I didn't, and that's another feeling I can't deal with. lol
But yeah, the runny nose thing can be annoying. I don't really get many colds. But still, that drip, drip, drip makes me want to lose my mind. lol

That's why I sleep in a recliner...on the few occasions when I can sleep. I hope your back and sinuses are better soon. It sucks getting old. Onward and upward.

@porwest If I slept in a bed, first of all it would be too painful; and second of all, I wouldn't be able to straighten up.

I too woke up at 1:30 after midnight. My daughter was traveling by night train to her college . I wanted to check how far she had reached.

Health issues really suck don't they. I'm also a bad back sufferer since 1992 when I ran a 5-mile town run and could not straighten up afterwords. My diagnosis, facet joints larger than normal, a genetic condition. I've been able to eventually return to active life, even playing tennis and golf again as long as I wear a back brace. But it seems I've finally used up my quota of ok years. Like a bad movie sequel, I've returned to 1992. My back is shot! So, I definitely feel your pain. I also suffer from sinus issues (deviated septum). Seems like (conservative) Trump supporter minds suffer alike.
Uh, not funny!

I can relate to back pains & body pains, I have them myself
but I try to keep them at bay as much as possible if I can
the main thing I do is take 2 naproxen's if it's to bad to bare
then take some time in my recliner & take a few hrs nap
& most the time that helps, but if it don't then I just take a
hot HOT shower & the hot water ease's the pain.
I see that we're going to have a full week of being in the 30's
this whole week all the way into next Tuesday & that sucks
cause husband has body arthritis, & Sinuses & he complains
all the time about them both & it drives me up the wall hearing
him sniffle & complain about his aches & pains during winter
& the rainy days, when I just don't say anything & live with it
when I hurt cause I know I won't get any response back.
