A strange Thanksgiving

We had planned to eat our Thanksgiving meal today instead of tomorrow. But during the night I got really sick with a painful sore throat and cough. Dale took me to Urgent care first thing this morning and I have acute Bronchitis.
Got meds, inhaler, etc, then had to figure out what to do about dinner. I had already baked a pork roast and Nathan had fixed deviled eggs, dressing, and tea.
So all Dale had to do was heat up the Bob Evans mashed potatoes and the gravy. It was a simple meal, but it worked out okay.
I'm so thankful I don't have the flu, covid, or strep throat. I hurt when I cough, but God will heal me.

@1creekgirl My plans might make you laugh. We don't have family to visit. We ordered in a vegetarian Dominos pizza for tomorrow. I plan on making a pecan pie to go with it in the morning.

Oh, Vicki, I’m sorry. I’m glad it wasn’t worse, and especially that it wasn’t Covid, but I hate that you had anything interrupt the day. I’m glad to hear the meal was practically done though!

@1creekgirl We won't have our main family gathering until the 29th. But the wife and I had a good time, nonetheless, took mom to the casino in East St. Louis, and my dad will be coming into town today and spending the evening with us.
