I was up all night, off and on

I was checking on the snow we were supposed to get. We didn't get any until 7 a.m.
I had gone to bed Sunday night with visions of a snow day in my head.
No such luck.
The ground was still warm enough that the snow melted right away.
Guess that was a good thing.
We shall see what tomorrow brings. It is supposed to warm up a little bit.

@GardenGerty Yes, every once in a while. Several times we have had 6 inches, but most of the time just an inch or two. Some years none at all.

It snowed here a good part of the night and off and on through the day. The car is still covered with snow and ice but the snow on the ground melted off around noon.
The forecast here showed we wouldn't warm up until Wednesday but now is showing we'll be in the low 40s tomorrow. We shall see...

@GardenGerty Thank you. The snow and ice are both gone, which means I shouldn't have any trouble getting to my eye specialist in the morning. Except my eyes are swelling closed. I hope they're open enough for me to drive tomorrow.

I think we all loved snow days when we were kids. I never thought about the teachers liking them back then, but I can see that they must have.
