Tomorrow Martín is coming. All I know is that he´ll stay for lunch. I have no idea if he will also have me work with my legs.
But what I do know is that I don´t like to be cooking while the visitors are here. So I am making a leche flan for dessert and later on, little by little, I´l cook the chicken thighs with mushrooms. I have plenty of chicken and plenty of mushrooms. There was an offer at the supermarket in which the second small box of mushrooms was sold for a small amount. And as I love them, I bought the sale.
Do you cook special dishes for visitors?

Now that I´m older, I invite 2 couples at the most. And as they are good friends, they usually help with the dishes.

It sounds delicious. Last week there was a sale in mushrooms at my supermarket. I´ll see if they have it this week still and I´ll copy your idea.

@marguicha - Now I find for sale dark mushrooms that taste more like wild mushrooms than the white ones. The wild mushrooms are far too expensive.

That sounds delicious! I hope he works with your legs before you enjoy the meal.
We don't have visitors anymore. I don't take chances on catching any viruses they may be carrying.

Martin did not come.
He had problems with his car. He said he´d try to come tomorrow.

@marguicha Oh, I'm sorry. I hope he gets his car fixed quickly and it's not too expensive.

@marguicha It's the going back and forth getting ingredients, pots and pans, etc.

Well, cooking is something I do every day for the most part. I’ve always enjoyed cooking. I am sure Martin will appreciate and enjoy the delicious dinner you are making.
Yes, I try to make things I know people like to eat. I enjoy having people over, but with son being sick it doesn’t happen often.

Martín did not come today but he´ll try to come tomorrow. He had problems with his car. I´m sure he´ll like what I cooked as he wanted me to prepare that dish.

It sounds so good! I don’t generally have visitors though I do bring my own dishes for get togethers. I just don’t like people at my apartment because although my decor is cute, my apartment itself is pathetic. I generally just have my dad, stepmom, or best friend over. And yes, I will make a special dish for my dad.

Once one of my friends told me that she did not invite people because her furniture was old. I replied that if people wanted to see good furniture, they could go to a museum. People come to see us. I bet people would love to see your decor.

I love to cook but it is not fun to cook for just one person. So when friends come, I do something special.

I would feel very unhappy if I did not invite friends once in a while.

My late husband only knew how to cook one dish but it was the best I ever tasted.
