Hummingbird Haven

My dad’s wife loves hummingbirds, and she made her backyard a haven for birds, and especially loves the hummingbirds. This is a picture of the present I got my stepmom for Christmas, and it was fortunate I found hummingbird (with crowns) earrings I could give to her without having to pay. It felt meant to be!

My dad gets so excited when he spots one
LOL--you reminded me of one of my favorite working-at-a-preschool memories: We were outside with the children when a hummingbird flew through the yard. One of the little girls pointed and said, "Teacher! A hummin 'd' bird!" (to this day when I see a hummingbird I hear her in my head going "A hummin 'd' bird!"

Yes, they are fascinating. We put up a hummingbird feeder two years ago and it is amazing to see how many hummingbirds feed on it.

Every year in the spring the hummingbirds show up to be near the ponds in my yard. I love the birds. I agree with the other posters she will love her gift.

Mom always put out hummingbird feeders on the farm. I put them out at our last house when we first moved in there but the local cats decided my feeders were their new hunting grounds so I took the feeders down. I'd rather skip feeding/watching birds at feeders if that will make them a target for cats.
I'm sure your step-mom will love the things you're giving her. 
Years ago I gave Pretty a set of glass hummingbird earrings. I don't know if she still has those or not.

Nice. It really looks beautiful.
Humming birds are not found in our country. I've seen them in pics and online. The colourful birds look.so wonderful.

Amber, she will love those. I like hummingbirds a lot, they love my zinnias and lantanas in the summertime, as well as all my lavender plants. They'll be back in the spring, I look forward to seeing them.
