Police Were Here...

The police banged on our door this afternoon. They were hunting for a scruffy looking guy and showed us his photo so we could tell them if we'd seen him before. (Somebody told them he came to our house often. ) We didn't recognize him. He did look like my brother-in-law, though. The police talked with us for a few minutes and then left. *shrug* We were both asleep when they pounded on our door.

Are you sure it was not your brother in law?

Yes, I'm sure. He's only been here once several years ago.

@DaddyEvil Better not to get involved with the police when possible.

It's always a bit of a worry when the police come knocking. It's rarely good news.

I think somebody just wanted to make trouble for us. Why send the police to our house for the dude?

@JudyEv The cop said somebody told him the guy was here so yeah, that's what I think. We never have visitors at this house. At our last house, yes, visitors all the time but we've been here 9 years and I can count the number of people who have been here on one hand.

That’s really traumatic to have police barging into your home and asking for someone you don’t know except that it looks like your brother in law. I wonder why are they looking for that person and who pointed out your place as the place where that person is at.

Yeah, they won't say who pointed them at your house in case you go hunting for that person later. They don't say why they're looking for that person, either.

There's no room to hide anyone here.

They startled us both when they banged on the door. Why not ring the doorbell?

What do people take that makes them give out such bad information? I would go back to the people who told them the guy frequented your house and focus my attention on them. Then again, maybe the person who told them that is high. I hate that police knock. I’ve gotten it myself, and don’t appreciate it. Of course, knocking politely no doubt wouldn’t help. LOL

How scary was that? Especially as you were asleep at the time.

Maybe he has had trouble with the police, hopefully you are not involved in what he did.

I hope they find who they are looking for. What a way to be woke up.

Did you tell the police the guy looked like your brother- in--law?? I hope you didn't.

Why would somebody had lied about the guy coming to your house?
