I made it to church today, and I was really glad to be there. By the time it was over, I was fading, but hey, I made it!
I’m eating a taco for lunch, and then my dad is coming over to watch football with me. I see him about once a week, and as he gets older I like to get all the time I can with him. Of course, after about an hour and a half, he has to go home to get a nap.

I was up stupid early. Texted stupid stuff with the ex at the stupid early time. Went back to sleep for awhile but now I'm an hour and a half into 2 hours of tutoring. Also finishing off the lasagna for my neighbor. I'd love to go back to bed when this is done but that would totally screw up my sleep for the night.

Hopefully you can finish the lasagna and stay awake until bedtime. It's so hard to stay on a schedule sometimes when the body doesn't cooperate.

Hey, I had a taco for lunch too! The sermon I heard yesterday was so uplifting and important ("encourage one another").
I'm watching a video of a guy driving US 441 through the Smoky Mountains National Park last month. Gorgeous foliage...and very foggy in places!
I'll probably take a nap in an hour or so. This retirement life just rocks!

Glad for you that you had time with your Dad. I know that means a lot, and I know you cherish the time together.
I am trying to get motivated to do some things. I hardly slept, because I am fighting off the remnants of a migraine. I hate migraines with a passion, but I know you hate them as well. So frustrating. And it's still cold here (20's) and I turned the heat down too low for last night. Son wasn't cold but I couldn't get warm. Oh, well. I will start moving around soon and hopefully get the blood flowing!

So many meds for migraines make me sick. Even shots can have after effects...I try to keep the meds down as much as possible, or I am down for days. It's hard. I hate migraines. I know you do, too.

Your dad isn't really that old, but I guess people age at different rates. It will be fun to watch football with him. Does he like Dallas too? Wish him Merry Christmas from me.

I will!
He’s 70, but everyone things he’s younger. He needs a nap every single Sunday because he never sleeps well on Saturday nights. He never has.
He used to be really wrapped up in the Dallas Cowboys when I was growing up, but after so long of watching them be middling, he’s more reasonable about them.
After they lost yesterday, he wants them to lose the rest of the games for a better draft pick. I just can’t go there.

Got home from church and I do not feel like doing anything. I'm tired from all the dog stuff this week, and aside from getting paid, I'm almost not looking forward to another week of it.

You're so smart to spend some quality alone time with your Dad.
I am exhausted today, still the bronchitis, so much so that I didn't feel that I had it in me to make our Sunday brunch.
We ate out, and then did a few errands, when I got home I had a long rest, of a couple of hours.
I finished wrapping the Christmas gifts and my husband is making us supper tonight.
My son texted me this morning. He hauled in 63 sheets of drywall yesterday. He had to bring it outside from his garage, up the front stairs and then he made a holder that held 10 sheets. Once that was full, he and Klaudia would carry the sheets down the stairs, he did about half of his total yesterday. After that he and Dad framed the rest of the walls for the basement. Dad told me that he felt sorry for him as hauling drywall is hard, it is heavy, so he swung his hammer much more than the kid had to.
His text read, I am really feeling it today, I don't know how does it and at his age.
I just consoled him and reminded him that Dad cut his teeth on hard and heavy work, different generation is all.

I've taken one nap this morning from around 7 am until around 12:30 pm. (My eyes keep watering and that's bugging me.)
I'm glad you made it to church this morning.
My dad would have fallen asleep right there.. Oh, how funny!
