Some people go caroling, some people go to church, and some people sing along on the radio. Did you see any Christmas songs this year? This picture is of my six aunts (ages 72 through 88) and sister (obviously in the middle) at our Christmas leading the Christmas carols to sing with the family (O, Come All Ye Faithful, Go Tell it on the Mountain, Away in a Manger, Silver Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas). My aunts like doing this, and we all follow my aunts lead in everything. Bless my sister’s heart, I know she didn’t want to get up there, but she was a good sport, and started everyone off (my sister and BIL have great voices, and my BIL sung in a group professionally and toured Europe).
Anyway, it was enjoyable. A lot of people would think it weird, but that’s okay.
*My aunts loved each of their presents, and 3 gave me enough money that now I can take my dog to the vet. One of my other aunts gave me a grocery store gift card. I’m very thankful.

Only if you count singing in my sleep... (Pretty says she hears me once in a while singing Rudolph when I'm sleeping.

)
I'm glad everything went well for you and am glad they could help you with some money and a gift card.

That's a lovely tradition. I don't think it's a bit weird and I'm sure it means a lot to your aunts. Well done to your sister for playing along.
That's great that you were given such useful gifts - and that yours were well received.

Well that sounds like fun for them all to do that. Last time I sang christmas carols/songs was back in choir in high school. We'd do a "Madrigal Dinner" where we would do a concert while the audience ate this dinner that we'd give them. We'd dress up in like renaissance themed clothes too. I know they still put that show on every year, should go and be in the audience for once I guess!

We sing on Sundays. I pick the music for the services and once or twice a month I lead. There are never enough weeks to sing all the songs I would like to, and many do not know all the carols even in our hymnals.

It sounds neat.I did not see any carolers this year. My sister may have done some Christmas program with her Sweet Adeline group but she didn't mention it.

I normally sing each year, except this year and last year. My husband is a member of a church choir and I joined because of his friends in that choir, too.

Wow. Can't say that I saw any carolers this year--for that matter, not for a long time.

What a special Christmas event!
Our Christmas was wonderful...all the kids were here, except for our great granddaughter Alice. Tammy's husband Jay cooked a magnificent dinner Christmas Eve. Much to praise Jesus for!
