Does anybody have one of these?

I know a lot of you have pain for various reasons, and several Mylotters have fibromyalgia like I do. Pictured is a Thera Cane, which was my mom’s, and I took after she died. You put the top half over your shoulder, and press spots, and move it around to loosen muscles, and massage out knots. Does anyone else have one? Does it help you? It really helped my shoulders this morning so I thought I’d ask. I know it looks funny.

I have seen them but not used one. Due to my medical issues I have some trigger points that can literally send me into orbit if they are pressed on. With my luck, I would land it on the wrong spot and howl! Haha! But I’m glad it works for you, Amber!

@AmbiePam I hate it when the doctor sometimes presses on certain spots on my back or my leg...and it feels like someone is stabbing me. It doesn't hurt on those spots unless they are pressed on, but still...ugh.

That looks like it would cause more issues for me than help. Too hard for one thing. I'm glad it helps you.

Thank you, and although you can put as much pressure on yourself as you want to, I tend to put a lot of pressure on my shoulders, and less on my back. It definitely wouldn’t work for everyone.

@AmbiePam I have a general rule about my neck, back, shoulders, you name it: NO touchy. This might sound weird but it's me. I lived on a little farm when I was a teenager. A bull tried to get me. My neck is worse due to that. Plus the broken collar bone from another younger time. That didn't heal so well. Then later when I was dumb and middle aged and the horse mess- good old sciatica. No touchy.

wooden rope massager
I don't have one of those but I do have one of those wooden beads on a string type back massager that you kinda use like a towel to dry your back... it works for me, anyway. (Not exactly like this one)

@AmbiePam It is, it is. You can even massage your butt and legs with it.

Oh, yeah. When I got mine I posted a picture of it on my Facebook wall with the “Thera Cane” tag showing, and quoted the Scorpions’ “Rock You Like a Hurricane” for it. Yes, it does help! And yes, it looks funny, but putting pressure on those sore spots in the shoulder that you can’t reach is soooooo good!

I've seen it for the first time here. I do yoga to stretch my muscles. Is fibromyalgia available in the market?? I would like to try it.

Fibromyalgia (a health problem) is what causes my problems, and this item, this Thera Cane, loosens the muscles. Luckily, it IS on the market. It would be very good for you, I imagine. I’m sorry if I was confusing. I tend to do that to people!

@AmbiePam If it is available and I buy one, the shopkeeper will explain how to use it. You were not confusing. In fact, you explained it very clearly and beautifully. Thanks a lot

@Akutza90 If you are very careful on the hands you might, but using it on your feet it is definitely possible because of the smaller notches as well.

I put a tennis ball behind my back against the wall and massage pain points that way.

One of my doctors recommended that to me, but I must be a good, because I never could maneuver it to get the right spots.

Oh, absolutely. It lets me put as much pressure on sore and hurting spots as I need, and it doesn’t strain my arms or hands.
