Out with the old, in with the second-hand

About a month ago, I posted a photo of a jigsaw I was attempting. However, I gave up on it. There was too much dark and a piece could go in multiple places quite easily which made it even more difficult. So it went back in its box and back to the clubhouse.
In the photo you can see another jigsaw that I bought at an op shop (thrift store). This might be a challenge too with multiple tigers, water, rocks, etc but I’m hoping it might be a bit easier than the last one.
We have a friend visiting for New Year and she is staying over. I’m sure she’ll add a few pieces for me.

Thrift stores are great places! We wander around in one here just to see what it has at times.
We rarely find anything we want to bring home, though.

That is really a beautiful puzzle. Hopefully she will help you do it. Sis and her fam were working on a Jigsaw on Christmas day..The family that puzzles together..fits together..

That is completely understandable! Some jigsaws are easy whereas others are truly next-level challenging, especially when there’s a lot of space and pieces that seem to fit everywhere. There’s no shame in putting it back in the box when it stops being fun. All these are supposed to be fun. The new one with the tigers sounds tricky as per me, but at least distinct shapes and patterns might make it more rewarding. It’s nice that you’re giving it another go instead of giving up on puzzles altogether. Having a fresh puzzle can really reset and recharge your motivation. Even better that you’ll have company while working on it. A few extra hands (and eyes) always help spot pieces you might miss. Things could also be quicker. Hopefully it turns into a relaxed and enjoyable New Year activity rather than a frustrating one. Enjoy your time!

It will be hard enough but at least it doesn't have acres of blue sky.

Our library has a lot of intricate puzzles people can check out and take home. Do you have a library nearby?

There is a library nearby and we also have one at the clubhouse. You don't need to check books in and out at the clubhouse. You can borrow them for as long as it takes then return them. They also have some jigsaws there too.
