Finally, a complaint works!

So, if you remember, my local post office is, well, there are no words. Anyway, I had a package coming December 31st, a shirt and socks (I got for free), and unfortunately, it had been sent by USPS. I got a notice my mailbox was full and they couldn’t drop it off. Guys, my mailbox had one letter in it. Plus, all they had to do is walk it to my door. Annoyed, but not surprised, I scheduled a redelivery for January 2nd. And it never arrives. Tracking keeps saying it will be delivered January 2nd even though we’re past that. This post office also doesn’t answer their phone. So I get on the website of USPS, and “file a complaint”. Well, a few minutes ago my phone rings once and they immediately hang up. They obviously don’t want to deal with this. Because yes, it’s my post office. She said they have the package and they were going to send it back (does redelivery mean nothing?), but they probably didn’t put it in my mailbox because it was too big. I explain to her it was a shirt and socks, not too big, but also that they could have brought it to my door. I was very nice about it, which seemed to calm her down because she obviously was aggravated she had to do anything about it. She tells me they’ll deliver it tomorrow, and I thank her.
Finally, a complaint works!
*Why do I point out things are free to me? Because judging is real, and I don’t want anyone thinking I spend what little I have on unnecessary things.

First, I am sorry you feel you have to explain to judgement "people." I wanted to use a different word, but, well...It's not one's business what you spend your money on.
I went through this with my post office recently and it was resolved quickly and I even got follow ups to make sure I was happy with the outcome. It was my $10K medicine I can't go off of abruptly. I hope your post office will have a meeting with the carrier for "lying" about your box being full and causing this.

@AmbiePam It was. Its my psoriatic arthritis meds that has kept me mobile for the most part. A few years ago, I was off it briefly when my prior RA took me off to try something else (and didn't arrive), and within two days, my body reacted harshly. I was approved to have an extra bottle on hand just in case it happens again. When I was battling the PO over it, my doctor had me pick up a sample pack that got me through.

I would never judge a person. How they spend their money is their business, not mine.
Good for you! I'm glad you'll actually get your shirt and socks!
Medicaid keeps offering to send my meds through the mail but they won't deliver anything with needles. I have two prescriptions that have needles so why even offer?

I can't believe you're still having issues with your post office.
No wait I can.
We are waiting on them to hand over packages that were supposed to be here Dec 19th. So I feel the pain.
Were they cute socks?

@AmbiePam I love fluffy socks.
I was pretty excited I got a pair of Friends socks that say "You're my Lobster" and a pair of Rockos Maodern Life Ones for free. They're long too.
You know how i love my weird stuff

Ours delivery couriers of online sellers suck. They always deliver late. They never pay attention to our complaints. We've no choice but to bear the inconvenience.

Besides that, even poor people need shirts and socks, so judgy people can keep their opinions to themself. I am lucky in the mail carriers we have.

After I called a certain business today, you know what...I got some action on my account. I alternated between being nice and aggravated, because if they thought I was being a pain, it was not going to help anything.so if I heard them getting a "tone" I immediately backed down. Bottom line I did get what I wanted.

It's so frustrating when you can't get any satisfaction when something goes wrong, Hope you finally get your package tomorrow as promised.
No judgement here.

That happened to me once. I had a package that was supposed to come and they claimed they couldn't deliver it because of dogs. So I asked them to redeliver it and they did the next day.

You don’t need to explain yourself.
Shirt and socks are not unnecessary …….we do not want you to walk around without clothes ! Free is great but you do have to buy clothes ….
Sorry you had a bother with a delivery ….that happens a lot here unfortunately.
