Today is Mother-in-Law's 83rd Birthday

Mother in law turns 83 today. She got married at age 15 and was married 55 years when her husband died. She's in pretty good shape physically but the Alzheimer's has rapidly deteriorated her thinking and she has that "shuffle" that people with dementia get. We'll be taking her out to lunch for her birthday today and taking care of her pills, groceries, eye doctor appointment, etc. Here's a photo of her two months ago when they did her hair at the hair salon. She looked great that day. In the meantime she took the scissors to her own hair and it's a hot mess. We're taking her to the hair salon in a couple of weeks.

She looks good in this photo. I will celebrate this year our 55 years of marriage. Let's hope we will celebrate, my husband health is not the best.

I do not think it is good for her to have access to scissors and other things she could harm herself with. This is a good picture.

She is in very good shape. I don't think she looks 83. More like about 70. I hope I look that good when I'm 83.

She looks good for her age for sure. I love her sweater. If you look closely though, she seems to have a look of madness in her eyes..so unfortunate.

Its an amazing thing to be alive at such age and I wish her a fabolous birthday.
