66 days until spring. It's going to go down into the teens on Thursday, recover a bit and go back into the teens. We are supposed to get s**w several days in a row. I'm hoping they don't have to plow.
The guy that overcharged me sent in his final proposal with the extra work added...$10,500. I told him he wasn't even in the ballpark. I also told him I accepted another proposal (under $1,200). He was shocked that I had other proposals. He obviously figured he could charge anything he wanted; and I would pay it. What a lowlife.
Breakfast- PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, peaches
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, low salt nuts, 70% dark chocolate
Dinner - Buffalo chicken and vegan cheese sandwich, veggie poppables, strawberries

He called to ask me when they could start the work. I caught him totally off guard when I said I accepted another proposal. What a jerk.

Wow. That is a huge difference! I'm glad you got other proposals. Yesterday, was Pure Protein for breakfast and a fry of zucchini, gold potatoes and Kielbasa for dinner. I craved something sweet last night but had nothing sweet to eat, so made up the hot cocoa pack that had marshmallows. It was so good.

@noni1959 We flew to San Diego many years ago, then took a bus to Tijuana, Mexico, then drove up to Vancouver, Canada. Enjoyed Washington very much.

Yup! Some people only get one proposal and he thought you were one of those people. Serves him right!
I had the other half of my steak and potatoes and some raspberries for breakfast, two bananas and some steamed broccoli for lunch and no supper.

Not knowing the full story, it may be possible he overbid because he didn't want to do the job. Years ago when I worked for a major developer, we would purposely overbid on projects that we really didn't want to do, just so somebody else would get the job. Luckily for you, you had other options!

Let's see golden brown hash browns, with browned Italian meatballs and gravy, It was good and of course, ice cream sandwishes and ding dongs and also had some Rocky Road ice cream, Life is good,

I get the feeling this guy thought you were an easy mark and could hoodwink you into paying him that excessive amount of money. Good for you getting other proposals and seeing what a cheater he was.

Yes he's starting to work on the inside projects on Wednesday. It's too nasty outside to do that work yet.
