Do you ever give yourself a day off?

I do not have to teach today. I do not have any music rehearsals today. I could do absolutely nothing and my world would survive.
I will practice guitar and do some editing on my book. Maybe I will even cycle when the fog burns off.
Do you have relaxing days like this?
Photo is of a random sunset, taken from Mt.Diablo.

Yeah, I try to make a habit of making sure I have days/times like this every so often.

@TheHorse I did get some house chores in, but that's about it. I also made almost eight dollars today.

Quite a lot to be fair.
As often as.I can.
I have lots of relaxing days.
The world will indeed keep spinning regardless of what I do or do not do.
Hope you get to cycle when the fog burns off

Nice to have a relaxing day when you are working. I am retired and do what I want when I want.
That is quite a picture.

@celticeagle Not on that day. But we did eventually. I harvested a small piece of the wreckage. It was a 1946 crash. Parts of the wreckage are still up there.

Yes, I'm retired so often just read in bed. I still do dishes at least once a day and cook meals but those aren't difficult to do.

@TheHorse I usually do mine first thing in the morning after I eat breakfast. Then I go to bed for the day.

Every day is a relaxing day since I can't do much. Retirement is great only if you can get around.

@TheHorse I can see that. Do they ever serve as a background to a musical piece for you? I hear rhythms in all kinds of machinery. When I was 18, I enjoyed the k-thump, k-thump of the mimeograph where I worked. In my 50's and 60's I visualized performances centered around the apharesis machine when I donated platelets. In particular I could imagine Pinocchio dancing down the street.

@GardenGerty Hah! The same thing happens to me. I start putting melodies over the rhythms. I even hear chords and melodies in cars driving by.

Lovely photo, nature at its best.
I have mostly relaxing days as I am retired.
However, I pursue my interests/hobbies like reading a lot and keeping up with news updates.
I do not get emotional with those that I have no control over.
The world order is insane, not for the weak of heart - long term allies are enemies to start with.

I don't get a day off as often as I would like to, but I do appreciate them when I have the chance. I hope your day off was wonderful and you enjoyed it.
