Well, I am glad I have tomorrow off

My debit card declined the other night at Tracfone online. I thought it was a problem on their end, but it declined at Wal Mart today as well. Sure am glad I have a second checking account.
So I took my card over to the Walmart ATM and the response was that it was a suspected scam or fraud.
Just in case, there is a branch of my bank right close to Walmart, and it told me "Access denied, unauthorized use."
I was going to check Bob's card, but he could not get his billfold out of his pocket. I think it is the same, though. He could not get gas the other night.
Guess who gets a phone call tomorrow, and maybe a trip an hour away to the bank? Me, of course.
Meanwhile, Bob is in bed asleep.

I checked it at an ATM because sometimes it is the store having a problem. It turns out to have been suspected fraud. It was not fraud and the account was released.

I hope you get it straightened out. That would be scary. I think it is smart to have another account.

That extra account is supposed to be back up money for yearly taxes and vet bills, etc. I did get it straightened out. My husband's card was not affected.

I hate when that happens. It can happen if there was a charge somewhere, (could be ligit) that the bank thinks is fraud. Usually confirming the transaction is ligit is all you have to do.

You figured it out. It was my Amazon Prime renewal that hit and locked my card down. I okayed it and in less than five minutes I could use that card.

@GardenGerty That's what I thought. I had a card do something like that to me, so I get it.

It turned out that the bank had flagged it because of my Amazon Prime renewal. I okayed it and it has been fine since.

How unfortunate. You will probably have to get a new card. It's MLK Day today; so the banks will be closed.

I suddenly realized that when I got up. I did get it resolved the next day. It was that the bank tagged my Amazon Prime renewal as fraud. They fixed it.

I have a bad experience about my Paymaya account. I transferred a big sum of money from my bank account and it was withdrawn by a scammer.

You would think, but did not. I also very seldom use my debit card, so I did not find out until I tried to use it again.

Once it was business hours, on Tuesday, I could deal with it.

The person I got on the phone tried to forward me to another person but they did not answer. She said, "Let me look, maybe I can fix it." She could tell me exactly what went wrong and when. It was my Amazon Prime payment that they thought might be a fraud.

@GardenGerty I'm glad she could see the problem and was able to fix it for you.
I don't think most people bother with Amazon Prime. It's just not worth it for the price.

Me too. I had cash with me but not enough to cover the situation.

Our banks are all closed tomorrow as it’s a federal holiday. You may want to call or check your bank website?
So sorry you got hacked, so frustrating!

Hi Heather
Could nobody give you a list of transactions ?
That would let you know for sure if anyone else had used your details and.the.card.details.
I hope that it gets sorted out on Monday
It must be a bit of a worry

Monday was a holiday, but yes, we talked through the three transactions that concerned me. It was an automatic trigger from my Amazon Prime yearly fee.
